I think the new owners may be Filipino. There is a distinctive garlic flavor in the fried spring rolls which seem to be more like lumpia instead of Thai fried spring rolls. And the sauce for the spring rolls is more oily than flavorful and it is no longer sweet. Even my once favorite,, massaman curry, has a garlic aftertaste. And the Thai fried rice just no longer has that addictive flavor as it used to with the old owners. I am so disappointed. I used to go to this restaurant all the time a few years ago. We stopped going for awhile after my mother passed away and we have just started getting back out into the world and I was so looking forward to coming back to our absolute favorite restaurant, but I had no idea that it had changed ownership until I tasted the food today and noticed the lumpia masquerading as Thai fried spring rolls. I thought it was my imagination until I finished my massanan curry and now have this garlic after taste that I can't get rid of and had tried the Thai fried rice that now has broccoli and carrots in place of the red and green bell peppers and onions , and the flavor is just off. I sm so disappointed.....why do new owners always ruin what was good before they came in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was actually really disappointing. You can tell they just kind of assemble the parts, so to speak, when you order. That's pretty typical, but it just didn't work here.
Nothing went together. I ordered pad see ew, and it was not saucy at all. It was dry. and only the noodles had any flavor (which was also limited since it wasn't saucy). The vegetables and pork were mixed in, but the pork was just dry unseasoned meat and the vegetables tasted like straight oil since they were cooked on their own (also with no seasoning or flavor). It was unusual. I honestly think that sauce would have made a difference since it would have at least gotten into all the parts to make it all taste cohesive
I also ordered Tom Kha seafood soup, which I usually love at Thai restaurants, but the flavor profile was off. Odd aftertaste. Seafood was chewy and weird. I don't know what happened there, but I couldn't get past the first 2-3 bites unfortunately.
I did takeout. It was fast. The place itself was nice. Appeared clean. Easy parking. There were no other customers (Wednesday night at about 7pm). Really wish it was a better experience as it's so close by and would've been great to satisfy a Thai...

If there was really crab mixed even if it was imitation crab, you'd still taste that seafood flavor and feel the texture difference in the cream cheese. Unsure if the wonton wrappers were expired because it was hard to chew and would stick to your teeth for something that's supposed to be crispy when fried. Panang curry was watery and lacked flavor. Visually didn't see any spices typical in panang curry but it did have a strong fish sauce taste. Not a lot of meat or veggies. If you don't count the liquid, the amount of rice given is more than the quantity of meat and veggies in the curry. The liquid curry was only around 2 cups or less. The white rice was not good either. It was a bit soggy or over soaked. Pineapple curry also had very little meat and less than 5 cubes of pineapple. Ordered this non-spicy but it was spicy. Containers are deep and a good size but the portions given barely fill up halfway. Compared to the price, it's definitely not worth the...
