Generally, I enjoy this establishment but today just rubbed me the wrong way. I come in. I don’t get greeted while there’s two people behind the counter so I can order so I go to the register. They told me to go back to the counter. I get to the counter and there is a girl there that is training, which is completely fine. I tell her my order and then on two occasions she re-asks me what my order is, which is fine because she is learning. However, a regular customer comes in. She stops doing my order and starts to do his. In the process of that, she is putting the wrong ingredients on my bagel trying to do both of our bagels at the same time. This really frustrated me because if you’re still learning, do one task at a time instead of trying to do two orders at once that don’t have the same ingredients on them. This establishment has great food, but if people are learning , new tasks they need to stick to one task at a time because that definitely brought down my customer service experience on top of no greeting at the door. I think people pay too much money to eat out to receive...

Neither the man behind the food counter or the girl behind the register greet you when you walk in or help you. Standing in a haphazard line at the register for five minutes waiting to pay, while you've already been given the food is bizarre. I'm surprised people don't just take the food and leave.
The establishment overall was extremely disappointing because they don't honor coupon codes. Being a non-corporate location is not an excuse for poor service. They're also not listed as a location when you want to complete a pickup/online order. The other 7 CT locations are. Must be another excuse for being non-corporate. So not only did I not get free bagels with the code, I was given stale bagels. Wasn't asked if I wanted them sliced, toasted, with cream cheese...nothing. I wish I had never completed my purchase.
Don't waste your time with the Orange Bruegger's Bagels and PLEASE go to the SHELTON location. Their staff is so much kinder and more helpful. Their food is also...
Read moreThis place has gone significantly downhill over the past few years. Not only have the prices drastically increased, but the service and caliber of the employees is disappointing. This morning I went to Bruegger’s and got three bagels with cream cheese and two breakfast sandwiches. As the employee was cutting my jalapeño bagel, he suddenly dropped it on the floor as he had cut himself with a knife. He ran into the back room, only to leave me with no one to complete my order. After a few minutes, another worker was assigned to me. He looked at me with a blank look in his eyes, as though he had no idea what was going on. My entire order came to $35. when I brought the sandwiches home, my boyfriend and I were disappointed to see that his farm house had no cream cheese on it which is part of the ingredients. I then opened my jalapeño bagel only to see that it barely had a smudge of cream cheese on it. It also was not toasted. Despite the fact that I love the bagels, I will not be returning...
