I love DK's. It is the standard by which I judge all donuts. I am originally from Orange and grew up in the area, so I have so many memories of this place. We started coming here in the early 80s.
When I'm in Orange County, I'll detour here to get my favorites and take them home to my parents. My favorites are the white cake donuts with white frosting and rainbow sprinkles, maple bar, and the glazed old fashion. My mom likes the maple bar, and my dad likes the glazed. Read moreFun donuts. Flavors are pretty tasty. Really liked the peanut butter Oreo, it's sliced open and filled with cream too! The donut is the same across the board, just with different flavored toppings. I had never had a donut with a hard shell chocolate coating- and I loved it! Location kinda sucks with the parking. And the entire stand outside to look at the donuts. I like to go into a store. I found them to be a little expensive, but since it's not an every day habit, it's okay. Anyway....
Read moreBest donut shop around.It's a walk up window in a sort of crummy post office plaza, and it's cash only, but none of that matters once the first bite hits your taste buds (and your waistline). The cronuts, sorry "cresnuts" are amazing - crispy and chewy at the same time, with yummy custard creme and strawberries. Not at all greasy, despite probably a pound of butter. Just fresh, sweet and wholesome. Friendly people working there as well....
