Aces Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Orange

TL:DR - Great sports bar for the locals in the Orange area. LOTS of TVs and a HUGE bar. Outdoor patio has AMAZING ventilation for smokers. Eddie the owner and Franco (Bar Manager) are very hospitable and works hard to service your needs. Their home made ranch is to die for. Checking out is easy as you can either pay with cash/card or via your phone (just like a tablet) by scanning a QR code. Awesome!

Review: FINALLY. A modern sports bar in the Orange area that's not a dive bar.

A nice dark atmosphere with enough TV's to cover every viewing angle around the establishment.

The bar is large enough to accommodate 30+ people with a wide selection of spirits to fulfill your needs.

There's also lots of sit down tables for larger parties. I love that the tables were custom made to look like an ace-of-spades card.

Eddie the owner is there both working and making sure your needs are taken care of. If their staff is busy, he jumps right in to take your order.

Franco the bar manager is energetic and helpful. Good vibes :)

There's an assortment of 55 - 85in TVs that play just about any sports you're looking to watch. If you're looking to catch NBA, NFL, MLS, MLB, NHL, PGA, college, and even combat sports like UFC, its all there. Just ask and they'll help you change the channel to your liking.

We got to try steak quesadillas with pico de gallo, and a grilled chicken sandwich. Both came with a choice of fries or tots with ketchup and ranch. The RANCH is the highlight as they make it in house. I'm almost tempted to buy a bottle from them if they sell it.

Prices are standard for sports bars in the area, with $7.50 pints of beer, $7-9 for tequila drinks, and $11-18 for bar food. Obviously varies based on what you get, but certainly worth it for the environment. Best part is that you can pay by scanning a QR code on the receipt and add the tip to your final bill. This is a GAMECHANGER. I hate waiting for my card back to sign and calculate tip at the end. Seamless transactions should be the new normal.

There's a "TouchTunes" jukebox in there to play music that you like via an app otherwise it just plays whatever.

The smoking area is well designated and ventilated. They have what seems to be industrial ventilation fans that vacuum the smoke right up without it lingering around and seeping into the dining area.

Growing up in the area, this bar used to be an Italian restaurant, which I think brought an "older" crowd (50+). While it seemed to bring in some older people, I was happy to see that a younger crowed started to populate the Saturday evening.

Wanted to watch my Chargers game on Sunday and get some work done so I looked at some reviews and headed towards Aces... I arrived and was immediately impressed with the layout. It was packed so I'm in line to be seated and everyone in front of me was greeted and seated pretty quickly. I'm now in front of the line to be seated and some dude tells me thanks for coming and we will have you seated shortly and if I had any preferences on where I wanted to sit. I told him a table as I was expecting a friend to arrive later. Since I read some reviews prior I realized that this dude had to be Eddie the owner. I said you must be Eddie and he smiled and he got me a table mad quick. I felt like VIP the way I was treated and taken care of. I appreciated how clean it was since I brought my laptop to get some work done. I will be going back and...

What's not to love about this place... I can't complain 1 bit. In my 47 years of...well since I was 21 I've been to a lot of bars in orange county/ and a lot in LA county and by far thos place is my all time favorite. Everything is cool. The staff are super cool, the owner is a hard working dude that doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. He's definitely not an owner that just sits back while his staff busts their hump. You can catch him doing everything the rest of his staff is doing..it can be wiping down tables , sweeping up, and he will literally stop at every table and check to make sure you're having a good time and he appreciates his customers and staff.
