Taqueria El Nuevo Perico #2 — Restaurant in Orange

Good: 1.Pretty much all the tacos here Prices are decent Taco Tuesday prices are $1.25

Bad: Parking. Very limited in to about 20 spaces total shred with 2-3 other business.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality and flavor of Taqueria El Nuevo Perico. We got the taco Tuesday 5 carne asada Tacos, 5 chicken tacos, ($1.25 each) and 5 birria tacos, 5 Fish Tacos, 1 potato quesadilla and asada quesadilla.

I gotta say, the chicken tacos were super moist, fish was flaky and neither tacos were dry. Birria tacos were superb and on Par with my favorite birria spot in Santa Ana "El Cabrito". Def recommend the potato quesadilla.

Added bonus: If you love spicy salsa, get the red sauce.

The food tastes good and is authentic But the prices are a bit too high. Now I realize inflation is what it is But, give me a break! You are charged $2.75 for a single "street taco" were talking one small three bite "street taco" granted there's a little bit of extra meat in the taco BUT Not $2.75 worth of extra meat... I've been coming to this place for a number of years and have enjoyed their food. But there needs to be some common sense when adjusting your prices for inflation... You still need to provide VALUE to your menu items If Not, then your customers are going to figure out that, it "COSTS TOO MUCH TO EAT OUT" and it's "NOT WORTH the expense to have someone else cook your food... You will eventually loose...

I spent a month trying to find the best chorizo taco within a 15 mile radius. Probably hit up 20 or so places. This place has, by far, the best chorizo taco in Orange, Anaheim, Tustin, or Villa Park. Not too dry…. Not too oily… nice sautéed onions on the side and the perfect amount of fresh onions and cilantro on the tacos themselves. They also serve beer, which (in my opinion) pairs perfectly with a quality chorizo taco. The only thing I thought was weird at first was they serve it with lemon wedges instead of lime….
