Recently started going back, the food is great, that never was the issue. The customer service was and they seem to have fixed that. I like the owners seemed to be involved and changed the place for the better. They mentioned my review and it's funny because it's true. However im thankful that they listened to the feedback and that shows a lot about a business. I can't complain, a fan of the place and now that the issues seem to be corrected. I will be returning. I like that feedback has been addressed many places read reviews and don't do anything about it. They mentioned other things that they did and it shows that they value their customers. That goes a long way and their prices and food are great. I can't complain 100% would recommend this place. Machete Chicarron is the best and they have a lot of unique recipes.

Older Review: Food is good. The customer Service is terrible. They have this big girl as a cashier. She seems like she hates everyone and herself. I got tacos and the box was upside down. Guess I had to make my own tacos. They didn't get my order right, I kept trying to emphasis what I wanted. However the girl kept saying OK and OK. Didn't say OK we offer this or that. I was definitely disappointed, the place used to be amazing However quality dropped drastically. With so many options for Mexican food, the food doesn't stand out enough for the terrible customer service. Their service is one of the worst and its that big girl that hates the world needs to seek therapy or something. I would recommend food, however until they get better I won't be back and I've been there...

This place is a jewel in the rough. Places like this are kept in secret to avoid ruining them. The food is authentic, the service is real, and the people are amazing. I found this place on YouTube so I knew I really wanted to visit. It did not disappoint. There is something about a tortilla this big made from masa and slightly fried that gives it an amazing taste. The machete was so good and fresh. The pelliscadas were simple and flavorful, I need to go back to get one with egg. They have good salsas and free fried potatoe slices. The people are humble and very friendly. No doubt I recommend this place more than any others. Be patient and nice when you visit.

I asked for a machete with Chilaquiles and it was 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 They served it with the chilaquiles and eggs and chicharron. It was amazing, the fried dough with the chilaquiles were heavenly. Just ask for the Chavelo Special 😜😜 the workers are fantastic and very accommodating...

Casual taco spot that has amazing food at great prices! One of the most affordable spots for the quality. They have a self service salsa bar with pickled carrots, limes, grilled onions, jalapeño, and fried potatoes. I’ve been here once or twice and the food was not the usual quality (it was a different chef I’ve never seen so it may just have been that they weren’t as seasoned) but usually always bomb. My personal favs are the lengua, cabeza, and al pastor tacos. I’ve had the carne asada and thought it was not bad but doesn’t out do my three favs. Not a “fancy” spot by any means so wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a cute dinner. The seating is limited and can get crowded during peak hours. As mentioned below, parking can be tricky during peak hours due to limited parking in the lot, but if you hit it an hr or two after peak there usually aren’t any issues....
