Groucho's Deli — Restaurant in Orangeburg

I cane there once to pick up in order that I called in. When i got inside the line was all the way to the past the door and the girl at the register was taking so long. I’ve seen this girl before so I know she’s not new, either she had a brain fart or the system was slow. But either way she was so slow she acted like she couldn’t count the change, and there were people starting 2 lines instead of 1 because a coworker offered to help with a second line and then she just abandoned her post and went back to waitressing... So I waited in line for at least 10-15 minutes and when I paid and waited another 15 minutes and when I finally got my food I checked ti make sure everything was the way it was supposed to be but I didn’t have my extra 45 sauce so I tried to get back in line but the girl was working on the same person for the last 15 minutes! So i caught the waitress and asked if she could get me some extra sauce and she said yes. She then placed down the food to a customer and went back to the kitchen and picked up some napkins and stuff and the totally walked pass me without my sauce. So after another 10 minutes I’m able to catch her again and ask she told me that she totally forgot... How do you forget in literally...

Stopped here on our way down to Georgia and so glad we did! We were quickly and warmly greeted and seated. We first ordered the chicken chili. It did not disappoint! The waitress asked if we wanted bacon and cheese and you just never turn that down. That alone would've been an amazing meal. We ordered a sub and a chicken pita and both were delicious. I had the chicken power pita and every ingredient on the sandwich was fresh, savory and healthy. The sandwiches come with chips that were very good too (Groucho's brand). I really enjoyed everything about our lunch here today! If you're on the highway, it's only 8 minutes from the exit. Go and enjoy a good and healthy lunch!

Ps. We were almost heading out until my son asked for a cookie. Went back in and ordered chocolate chip and macadamia nut cookies. All they needed was a glass of milk! Whoever made those cookies, God bless you. They are the BEST cookies...

When I walked up to place my order there wasn't anyone around, after waiting for a couple of minutes Kathryn walked up, yawned in my face, and asked if she could take my order. My total was $12.03, I handed her a quarter and a $20 dollar bill, and she then tried to give me back more than my order cost. I told her that she was going to come up short, she gave me a glazed look and was stymied by how to correct her mistake, I told how much change I was owed. Haley, assisted me with Kathryn’s order-taking shortfalls, got me exactly what I needed. Haley was pleasant and she was extremely capable of making sure I got what I needed.
