Have yall ever had chinese red wings? #creatorsearchinsights #orangeburgsc #chinesefood #shrimpfriedrice #redwings

Did a Facebook post asking who had good Chinese rice and they were recommended. I've had they rice before covid and wasn't a fan of it but loved they red chicken. Decided to try their rice again. I ordered ahead and it was ready when I got there. The good was nice and hot and to my surprise the rice was decent. I was upset the ted rings taste like regular wings with red food coloring. So overall was not satisfied with them. I didn't even eat a full wing. Gurl up front is not pleasant at all.

After moving up North 28 years ago, every visit back home is a must for some red wings. Today, I visited with my husband. Very disappointing. My tradition has come to an end. The red wings were dull. Baby shrimp in the shrimp fried rice. Two males constantly coughing and sneezing in the kitchen. My drive back my stomach began hurting. Wasted calories intake.

Let me just start off by saying China Kitchen is horrible at running their business and has HORRIBLE customer service. Every single time I have ordered with them they have one of us ( a black African American YOUNG female) taking orders. My issue is not about race but it’s about properly training these young ladies on how to properly take orders. On 9/10/2025 i placed an order for myself and one other person. After i completed my order the young lady told me my total. Mistake number one, if she wasn’t sure about something I said over the phone she should have verified by reading me my order back to me to double check. She did not. The other person I ordered for went to get our food, I checked the food, this isn’t want i ordered. I immediately called to let them know and see what could be done about it. The SAME young lady that took the order earlier was the SAME young lady that answered the phone when I made a complaint about her messing up my order. Fast forward she’s telling me I ordered one thing when I know i ordered something completely different ( keep in mind i order the same thing every time I went to this restaurant). So she says come on back up here and we will give you what your were supposed to have. Got up there the young lady that took my order acted clueless and didn’t say anything to me. They ended up getting the manager or owner whoever he was, he’s like “ Where is the plate” I said “she didn’t tell me I had to bring the whole plate back up here”, “she told me if I came up here I would get what I was supposed to get the first time”. He’s like I can’t do anything without the whole plate (rudely), so in my mind I’m thinking why would I give y’all my whole plate back if it’s just one thing that was a mix up on my plate. The manager/owner was very rude about the situation as well. I would never give a whole plate back because I don’t know what your going to do with the rest of my food on my plate that I plan on eating. CHINA KITCHEN will NEVER get a dime of my...

I’m originally from Orangeburg so China Kitchen is the gold standard for Chinese food for me. I now live and work in Columbia and let me tell you... there is NOWHERE that holds a candle to CK anywhere. No buffets, no take-out, nowhere has Chinese food as good as them. I don’t know why those red, fried wings taste better than every other Chinese joint I’ve ever tried. I don’t even eat eggrolls anywhere else because they’ll be a disappointment. One time I ordered lemon chicken at some random place up here in Cola. I nearly cried when it came out because it was nowhere close to being “right.” Anyway, the parking lot is kind of hole-y and they only take cash and I know that can be kind of a turn-off for some people. I would cross a thousand miles of potholes to get to my beloved China Kitchen. And I always keep “CK money” in my glove box should I happen to pass through the Burg. Their number has been saved in my contacts since I got my very first phone at 15 (and I’m almost 30).

When I was weighing the pros and cons of possibly moving back to Orangeburg one day in the next couple of years, I’m not going to lie... the fact that I will be back closer to China’s Kitchen definitely helped sway my decision....

I was visiting from DC and am accustomed to a certain style of food and usually avoid fast food of any kind. But I took a gamble, I took advice from some locals and I'm glad I did!

This place has a parking lot of its own, (luxury in DC) and was packed on a Saturday late afternoon. It is a cash only establishment, but well worth it.

The staff seemed friendly, the crowd inside was iffy. There are bathrooms although I wouldn't recommend them, I'm not sure how clean they'd be after being in the sitting area.

We went for their tried and true wings that look like they were pumped full of steroids. Seriously I've never seen bone in wings this color or size but they were incredible. I didn't feel sick afterwards either- which was a slight concern.

Highly...
