J&T Kettlecorn and BBQ — Restaurant in Orderville

The food I had wasn’t bad but the service was terrible to the other customers who came in. I was there visiting a friend because it was super slow, but Mike seemed nice at first then a couple came in with their child and ordered. They got their food then had a complaint about the coleslaw but they were super respectful about it and only said it tasted and smelled a little too funny. Mike grabbed it and put his nose in it (literally) and said it smelled fine. He then proceeded to yell at the customers that he made it this morning (it is out of a bag he just has to open) and the customers stood shocked. I didn’t know what to do and he would not listen to the customers. Me and my friend left as she quit right after the couple left.

I was to say he was being extremely racist to the family. They were Asian and Mike started saying and I quote “well I don’t know how ur people make it where ur from but ur in America okay” and the man WAS FROM HERE. Mike continued being racist towards him and his family so they quietly left. I was going to get a job potentially but it was baffling and it was also super dirty. Yes he may have good bbq sometimes but the service was terrible from him. The waitress stood there not knowing what to do. Never have I seen something like...

I want to share our experience as well, as we thought we were baited by the reviews as well. We stopped by on our way from bryce to zion. Ordered brisket plate with coleslaw and fries, ribs plate with same sides and the cheeseburger. The service was very nice, and the food came in pretty fast, dad's ribs came in completely cold, which he asked to be reheated and we even got a whole new plate for that, with an explanation that whe warmer wasn't working properly (which I honestly do not understand how someone can send out cold food). That wouldn't be an issue, but the fries were completely raw and not cooked through, as constructive critique I would suggest double frying them or choose another type of potatos. Also the membrane on the ribs, was not removed, which caused them to have absolutely no flavor from the smoker, and tasted like they were boiled... We have been here twice and both times we were so disappointed. Not only with the amount of food we got for what we paid, but also the service. The second time we were super shocked when the cook started yelling at the super sweet waitress through the service window about our order. I don't care if she was family or even if she just made a mistake, (which I dont think she did) it was extremely uncomfortable for everyone in the diningroom and soooo uncalled for! I couldn't believe what was happening! He literally yelled at her for about 5 minutes! On top of that the food has not been very good. It was a small sandwich with very little fatty meat and a huge onion and tomato slice in a smashed bun. I tried the loaded nachos the second time and they were anything but.
