Very rarely do I give a 5 star review. This restaurant earned it! I stumbled upon this place on Google, searching for dinner last night. The reviews were good, so we decided to try it. It's hidden back off the road so it isn’t somewhere you’ll see driving, but it is a must-try! We weren’t getting our hopes up for the food (we have gone to highly rated restaurants in the past and sometimes found the food to be mediocre) but we were blown away! We ordered the chimichanga and enchilada combo, a carnitas quesadilla and the carne asada nachos with horchata. Let me start off with the fact that the portions are HUGE and the prices are low compared to pretty much everywhere. We paid $50 for 3 huge entrees and 2 drinks. The meats are SO flavorful, something I’ve found to be lacking in several Mexican restaurants in the area. The beef is slow cooked and tender. The meat is amazing by itself! But the chimichanga was crunchy, and gigantic! They even put rice in their chimichangas! Everything was incredibly flavorful with so many spices and aromatics. 10000/10! I’m not normally a rice and beans kind of person, but theirs blew me away! They clearly make the refried beans from scratch, and they taste amazing! They taste like authentic homemade frijoles. The rice was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I don’t usually like rice from Mexican restaurants because it tastes like rice with a hint of tomato. But theirs? SO GOOD! I would order the rice and beans by ITSELF. And the horchata deserves its own review, I swear. I’m tired of horchata being so sweet and syrupy. This restaurant makes it PERFECT! Lightly sweetened and not thick! It’s refreshing and delicious. THIS is what I want when I want Mexican food. These wonderful owners have a fantastic restaurant with the best Mexican food I’ve had in the area in a long time. We will be back...
Read moreI have been there several times. But I got to say the service is "Poor" due to the fact that the only mexican man that works their and takes orders is "VERY RUDE". The restaurant isn't owned by the people that works there, it's owned by a Caucasian lady. But she should stop by and check up on how her employees deal with customers. I stopped buy to purchase a meal and I asked if chips comes with it. I was told it would cost a additional $1.75 if I wanted to take it home. If I sat in the restaurant I could have it for free. I was tired and thought it was silly to have to pay for chips when it's free if you sit and eat in the restaurant. I just wanted my meal to go. I said, "That's a silly rule. Seems kind of weird to me." The mexican man replied, "Oh well, if you don't like the rule you can leave." There was no reason for him to be rude at all. But he is always like this, "RUDE". He acts like he owns the restaurant which he does not. To say the least I cancelled my order and left. Casa Latina will be losing a lot of business if they keep treating there customers like this. If you're looking for a restaurant that has "Rude" employee that takes your order then this is the place to eat. I doubt I'll be back. There are other mexican restaurants to eat at for example "El Caporal" in Eagle...
Read moreThe owners are rude...not only that but I live near them and they are absolutely awful people. Attacked my children and myself physically..cops called numerous times on them (reports filed, and they are the ones that got busted for selling meth out of their driveway.. additionally almost everyone that comes in and out of their house has a warrant.) I bring this up because when supporting local business it matters who you are supporting. These people are bad news. They recently cursed me out in front of my kids because my dog was standing on the sidewalk. Be careful if you go there, bad people. No respect for law enforcement or...
