As someone with a hidden disability, I appreciate the business model of the cafe. We have always had excellent drinks and service. The treats are affordable and the atmosphere is delightful!
Edit 10.18.21- There is a one star review here from a local resident masking their identity (you were recognized) as "Wisconsin Resident" The entire review is a false representation of the incident. At least a half dozen of us other customers also witnessed the event. Wisconsin Resident (J.C.) went full Karen when she tried to order a trademarked Starbucks drink, was told by the soft-spoken teen girl working the counter she (girl) wasn't sure how to make that or ring it up and needed to ask. The girl came back to the counter with a lead barista who told J.C./Wisconsin Resident that the Cafe does not serve that drink, explained how to order something similar that the Cafe could make etc. Ms. Karen Wisconsin Resident proceeded to lambaste the two teens, stating the first girl had walked away without saying a "expletive" thing and that was a real problem . (Funny, I heard the girl tell her she didn't know how to make it and needed to ask) Her expletive laced outburst was after telling staff she wanted the drink made the way she gets the drink from Starbucks - which she was just told they do not serve and offered an alternative. She was asked to stop using abusive language with staff, as and that's when she continued to throw a fit and left. No one shouted at her or her family. The truth is her abusive behavior (in front of her own children) was not condoned. While I was still there, she apparently called dthe business, threatening another worker with contacting NBC local and her attorney. -Wisconsin Resident needs to be careful how she throws that threat of an attorney around given that she has spent a few days publicly dragging this business with a story that is largely fictional and could give the business cause to get their attorney involved. The only reason any if her kids were crying was on her. So cats and kittens - careful how you take these reviews on...
Read more*Update of the update: Really love this spot... after our early morning walk, stopped and got some coffee at our new favorite spot. Last time I said that "The only thing that would make this place better for me to write would be if we could bring our dogs. But hey... we're not in heaven yet, right?" Ask and you shall receive. I think all the Kool Kats go to Firefly, but the early morning dawgz prefer to Kickback.
Top Notch 5 star baristas, yo. He even topped off the dogs water bowl. Back to the owner. We very much appreciate you. Also, would you please say hello to our friend Claude if you see him? I haven't seen him at the dog park lately.
Original review: Great coffee. Great atmosphere. A quiet nook that only a few still know about. Quaint space, kind staff. Good place to cool your jets, calm down, and...
Read moreThere's a huge variety of treats and drinks to choose from, which is something I value in a cafè. The employees were polite, nice, and answered any questions I had. I got an iced latte and a day old scone, which was half off and still very good (especially after tossing it in the microwave for a few seconds!). My only qualms was that the live music was, while nice, right next to the ordering stand. This could make it hard to hear at moments, in my opinion. Also, I felt a little awkward about where to stand and wait for my order haha. There are lots of seating options, but it does make the ordering area feel a little cramped.
All in all, the food and drink were good, the prices were average/good, and my only issue was with the...
