First red flag was most of the tables were dirty and unbussed.
Worst everything I've had in quite some time. My husband got the blue cheese burger... 2 bites in and he was done. I took a bite and almost lost my stomach. It tasted like rotten yogurt. (We both love blue cheese so something was so very off with whatever was on this burger)
The blue cheese had no structure what so ever. It was this watery oozing mess. It looked more like a gravy sauce than cheese.
The onion rings tasted like they came from a frozen bag - rubbery and inedible.
I got a taco salad. From the get go - it looked ok upon further inspection, the beef was so finely ground and crunchy dark. It was so over cooked and it was awfully dry, super salty, and over seasoned!
I tried to to deal with it and eat it as I was already embarrassed enough about sending back the first meal. Honestly I could only get a few bites in before it felt like the food was going to come up my throat as everything about it made me loose my appetite.
I was quite sad as we were very hungry and had to return both meals, but could not stomach the thought of getting replacement food after that experience.
The service leaves much to be desired but I wasn't given any shade when I explained about the food. I almost felt as if they were used to this situation already. By the looks of the left over food on other people's plates... I can tell we weren't the only ones unimpressed.
The decor, even though it said it had been renovated recently, was atrocious it looks like it hasn't been updated since the eighties. It reminded me of a 80s dennys.
The only reason I came here was that I made the mistake of checking in Google reviews before checking the much more accurate...
Read moreThe food is good but the service needs major work. The time I ate at the restaurant was alright and I only got a drink while I waited for my food to go. My server was a nice girl, but right off the bat, I could tell that she was irritated with the day. I went to the pub on a separate day and there was one bartender and a half-filled bar. She took a minute to come over to me but I brushed it off since she looked like she was busy and a little overwhelmed. She told me she was just previously a server who willingly asked to be in the bar. Then, she complained about the noise level in the bar. I thought this was very unprofessional. When I asked for my tab she hesitated as if it was too much to ask and told me she had to make some drinks first. Also, she gave me my tab without the 10% discount which I pointed out to her before asking for my tab. The discount is an amenity that comes along with staying at the hotel. My requests at the bar were pretty low maintenance being that I only ordered one beer, 2 appetizers for dine-in, and a burger to go. When she gave me my tab, she pointed out the place where I was to write a tip. Then she took my receipt, looked at it, and asked me if it was a five that I wrote or a six. This kind of behavior from a bartender is a big NO in Bar 101. I don't think she should be working behind a bar without being further educated in bartender etiquette. Frankly, I don't think that this Pub should exist unless they get their restaurant etiquette together first. Such a disappointment and I gave them a second chance. I will never go back to that...
Read moreI recently visited the Red Rooster Grill and Pub for breakfast on May 28, 2023, with my girlfriend. While our experience had its ups and downs, I would like to highlight a few aspects of our visit.
First and foremost, I want to commend our waitress for her exceptional friendliness and efficiency. Despite the early morning rush, she managed to handle the customers single-handedly and provided attentive service. Her dedication to ensuring a pleasant dining experience was evident, and she deserves recognition for her hard work.
Regarding the food, I ordered the chicken fried steak with hashbrowns, eggs sunny side up, and wheat toast. While the meal wasn't the best I've ever had, it was decent and served its purpose. The chicken fried steak was cooked well, although I found it to be lacking in flavor. The hashbrowns were average, and the eggs were cooked to my liking. The wheat toast was fine but nothing remarkable.
In conclusion, the friendly service provided by the waitress was a highlight of our visit to Red Rooster Grill and Pub. While the food was decent, it didn't leave a lasting impression, and I found myself leaving some food uneaten. For those seeking a quick breakfast option, this place may serve its purpose, but if you're looking for a more memorable culinary experience, you may want to explore other options...
