We stayed here on our way to the PNW road trip. It's a nice small campground with every amenities you need! It's dog friendly with a little pet space for your pets to take a walk and have their owm time. Campground sites are very next to each other so except minimal privacy. Glad people respect others space. Our site was next to the road so we could hear vehicles sound all night. Even in the middle of June it was very cold in the night so be prepared. Hot showers was a bliss. Restrooms are very clean and well maintained. Overall this was worth the stay with its price. Cabins looked very beautiful so I highly recommend trying them.

This stay started well. Easy check-in, nice staff. The space was setup nicely, good placement of hook-ups. Nifty idea of rope across front of site as a "limit line" to keep lane clear. The issue came when another camper left her dogs in the dog run unattended and we couldn't get in. When we reported it to the office, the response was, "There's another one." Then, we realized there is NO pet policy at this campground. None. Nothing about leashes, cleaning up, supervision, barking. Watched park staff drive buy camper with dog off-leash. Unacceptable. Shame on you KOA for giving them awards!

Even thought this KOA is pretty much in town, it does seem to have a bit of privacy, security & cleanliness. Really well maintained, we saw folks working diligently to keep it there. Close to other services (Fred Meyer’s & car washes). The sites are pretty tight, gravel level, with well located rv hookups, a patch of grass & brick laid patio with a picnic table. (We did help out neighbor to move our table, so he could open his slideout). We'll be glad to stay again when passing through the area.

Restrooms are locked and they gave me the wrong code and caused a major situation during the night when the office was closed. Had to unhook and drag trailer all around town at 4 am and will keep the rest of that story private. We also awoke to find some event in progress with large groups of people gathered around my trailer in the spot we were in. When I expressed my unhappiness about all this, office lady just shrugged like she could care less and it was all my fault. I then said I was going to post a bad review and she said no problem, go ahead. From me to you, save your $80 and stay in a rest stop. This place has nothing to offer but rudeness and inconvenience. BEWARE!!!

Update 8/11/2025 : The owners response is far from the truth. First there were no other numbers on our paperwork other than the office number which did not answer and 911. I was not calling 911 for bathroom code. So ridiculous. 2nd I did make the reservation online and the correct number was on all the paperwork but the code did not work. When I addressed it with the office in the morning she told me the number in the system and it did not match my number. A 9 had been transposed as a 5 when their office personnel set up the code. Her story is again ridiculous. Then I say the review is not going to be very nice and she says, "No big deal, write whatever you want, no one cares." Obviously, someone cares to respond and try to lie their way out of it. Then to top this all off, the event they had organized that gathered in and around our camping site, started early in the morning and we had been out late, so I was frustrated and explained to her the noise all morning was unacceptable. You know what she did... She sent someone over right in front of me standing there and he said at the top of his voice, " These people are complaining about you around their campsite, move away." I could have done that. It was very embarrassing. I should have just asked nicely myself. But instead of them being understanding, they choose to embarrass me for payback I guess. Very unacceptable from a business trying to get your money. And the place was one of the most expensive RV stops we stayed and it's nothing more than a big dirty parking lot. At this point, you choose... Is this someplace you want to stay? I hope you won't regret it. Take my advice and find someplace nicer, it's not even worth giving this...

This KOA is in the middle of the city and feels like it. Definitely not nature camping here. But I was in a pinch though and needed to stop off sooner than anticipated so I called here around 5:30pm, after the cut-off for booking online to see if they had anything available. Was told they had one spot left. I let them know I’m in a 21 foot RV pulling a 17 foot travel trailer. They said it counts as two campers then so I would have to disconnect the two and pay for and put them in two different spots. I’ve never encountered this at any other campground or KOA so I asked him to double check. He did and said yes, that’s the correct info. I don’t really see how my two tiny campers are different than if I had one large RV, I come in just under 38 foot total. But I guess the kicker is that not only did they want me to go through the process of pulling my two rigs apart and paying for two spots — but I couldn’t even take that option if I wanted to since they only had one spot left! I was less than a mile from this campground and my grandpa, who I’m pulling in the trailer to travel with us on one last hoorah for the summer, he was not feeling well and we really needed to just get somewhere to rest quickly. We ended up at what turned out to be the nicest, safest feeling rest stop I’ve ever visited just 15 minutes south of where this KOA is. In Oregon you’re legal to park for up to 12 hours overnight at any rest stop. So I didn’t have to completely separate my rigs and it was free! If you just need a quick stay-over and not all the amenities, I’d recommend the rest stop. For me the requiring two two spots in my case, especially when there aren’t even two available and the one they had accommodated the size of my rig fine — well that absurdity points to the place not being the sort of awesome KOA like I’ve experienced at all the others I’ve ever visited. In fact, I had just come from a KOA the day prior near Crater Lake and it was very woodsy, wonderful people, and they loved my double rig and of course charged me for...

Stayed in the deluxe cabin for 4 nights. Upon arrival, was pleased with the cabin. It was cute that they have complimentary snacks, water, and keurig coffee pods. The room is nice and they even had the ac on for us upon arrival. However, we were a family that was staying for multiple nights and when we took the trash out and needed a new bag for the trashcan, the blonde lady gave my 11 year old son an attitude and told him that they didn’t provide supplies. I’m sorry, but we only used 2 trashbags the entire time. To give my son grief about it and say we need to pay for them is ridiculous. Who brings extra trashbags to a deluxe cabin? Then to top it off, the kids accidentally packed one of the pillows when we left and they called to say it would be a $35 extra charge (for an old, yellow, and gross $5 pillow). We always bring our own pillows, so unfortunately one of them thought it was ours to begin with. I get charging for a new one, but $35 is ridiculous.

In addition, my mom had an RV site for the entire stay as well and had booked a deluxe paw pad site (with shade), but then called to request to be near the cabins since my brother was staying in one and we were staying in another. They moved her site without informing her that she would no longer have a paw pen for her 2 dogs and that she would be in the direct sun without any trees. When we asked for her to be moved back, they wouldn’t do anything about it. Next time, we will just rent an Airbnb cabin for the same price we all spent. My family spent well over $1500 to stay for 4 nights in a place that wouldn’t even unlock the Gaga ball and ladder-ball equipment. Was told “it will be opened tomorrow” but then it wasn’t.

This KOA won’t receive any more of our money. It’s too bad since it’s at a halfway point to meet up with my mom.

I suggest getting a cabin or RV site at Lake of the Woods if you have a family and want to go “glamping”… that place was beautiful...
