By far the worst customer service I've ever received at a restaurant. They refused to seat us until our whole party was there, which I kind of understand, but it was the way they rudely told us when we asked. If we'd had the time to go somewhere else, we would have.

While we were waiting, we noticed a menu on the wall, so we were trying to decide what to get since we didn't have a lot of time. When my sister came a few minutes later and they allowed us to be seated, we noticed everything on the menu they gave us was $3-4 more than what was on the menu on the wall. When we asked our waiter about it, he was very abrupt and rude and told us that was the drive through menu--and not the same thing (while acting like we were dumb for not knowing that). So I'm thinking, I guess we're paying more to have it served to us, so maybe the waiters get some of that extra money? I've never seen a place do that. Why would they post different prices?

My sister had the nerve to ask for a small cup for her granddaughter, and again, the waiter was abrupt and rude and told us they don't have small or kid cups. (Do they not ever have kids at this place?) By now, we've decided this guy is just not a very polite or friendly person.

Then my mom's glass had something red stuck to the inside of it. We asked for a new glass for her and showed him why, and he didn't even apologize for it. Okay, weird.

He did bring us more chips and filled our waters, I'll give him that. But his overall manner was so rude, I felt like we were a complete inconvenience to him. And he brought all of our food at different times. The whole experience was uncomfortable. So when it came time to tip him--and I generally tip at minimum 15% and am happy to give more for kind and good waiters--I decide I don't want to tip this guy for being so rude to us. Plus, I'm thinking they must be getting extra from the $3 more I paid for my plate. My total is $14.06, so I tip 84 cents. I don't know why I would pay more when someone treated us so poorly.

He takes the receipts and we're getting ready to leave, and he has the audacity to come show me the receipt in front of my family and loudly say, "I didn't do a good enough job, I only get 84 cents. Thank you very much." Are you kidding me? (I seriously had considered tipping you nothing.) He was such a complete jerk. I started to explain why I hadn't tipped him more, but he angrily walked away before I could get two words out. We were all shocked at how rude he was and can't believe a place would have waiters who treat customers like that.

We won't ever go back there again. And I can't say I'm too sad about that. Besides the unacceptable way he acted, the food was not good.

UPDATE: As shown by the response from the owner, again, terrible customer service. (I'm not surprised, I've noticed they're rude to anyone who doesn't give them a good review.) So each of our plates cost $4 extra, meaning our "complimentary chips and salsa" cost us $16. (Not sure what "among other things" referred to--the water, the dirty cups?) He's right, the menu did say drive thru menu on it--but none of us have ever been to a restaurant where the drive thru prices are different from the dine-in menu, so it was confusing. (But our waiter very rudely explained it's different at Milagros, for some unknown reason.) And the owner is also right about this--plenty of other restaurants meet my expectations (decent prices, kind customer service, clean dishes)--and treat...

This is a nice place to eat. The decor in this restaurant is lovely and fitting for the theme they are going for, like a Rustic Mexican theme. This was my second time here. The first time I was very unimpressed but later realized they gave me the wrong order (veggie enchilada instead of chicken). This time I had the Chile Relleno dish, with black beans and green Chile rice. My husband had the Pollo Fundido with pinto beans and the same rice. The side of black beans were....interestingly flavored. Kind of smoky, to where I was kinda meh about them. The rice was good. So my Chile Relleno was filled with some very good, gooey cheese. It held it's consistency the whole time and was flavored well. The fried outer coating was perfect. I shouldn't have ordered this though because I prefer less cheese, so I'm just dumb. But the Pollo Fundido! WOW that was great! It's like a crispy flour tortillas around a seasoned chicken breast with this awesome sauce. Definitely get that. Overall it's good. Oh! I saw someone commented on the water tasting bad. Last time we came it tasted BAD, like really weird. This time it was just fine! So that seems to be fixed. Also, with our toddler and his quesadilla kids meal- we were seated immediately and in and out within 45 minutes. Pretty awesome.

Edit: after reading all the reviews, I gave another star. Because I realized in comparing this place to other Mexican food restaurants in the area, it deserves the 5 stars. Los hermanos, for example. It's awful, I've been there 5 times and have been disappointed every single time. Not this place! So go here instead of Los Hermanos, if that's...

Milagros is the best place for Mexican food! We have been coming here for over 12 years and it’s the only Mexican restaurant we go to now. We’ve tried all of the other restaurants but this one takes the cake!

We even moved away for a year and a half to Arizona (where I’ve heard the Mexican food is to die for) but nothing ever came close.

We are basically “regulars”. We’ve seen the owners son go from a cute little kid serenading us and all the tables singing and playing his guitar to now serving tables. The staff is so friendly we have even gotten to know a few personally, asking about kids and family.

The owner is awesome! To hear his story of his business successes and failures and more successes is a really great story. He is always kind to our kids and stops and talks to us when we come and he’s there. He has created an amazing restaurant and if you look at the painting in the back, he painted it himself and it shows just a little of his business adventures.

The food is the absolute best! Our go to for years is the Mata Hambre! Their meat is tender and juicy and so flavorful. We also love the Queso Fundido and Guac as appetizers. Our favorite for the past little while has been the Chile Relleno. And the best part is always their chips and salsa. They have the best Red AND green salsa. The green is sweet, not bitter like some green salsas, which is why we love it so much! And the red salsa packs so much flavor! We get both salsas to go all the time for us to enjoy at home.

This place is truly the best if you’re looking for super flavorful mouthwatering...

mexican restaurant lol si eres mexicano, no recomiendo este lugar. no tiene sazón. nada está bueno y muy cara la comida mamona. una tortilla con sal sabe mejor q esta comida mediocre. edit: i was asked what my point is. well my point is this is far from any remotely real or authentic “mexican restaurant” the spice even when categorized or asked for “spicy!!” is not at all. none of these “mexican” dishes are actually mexican, again. i would recommend the owners or whoever is in charge of the foods to actually research mexican foods and HOW to make them. it almost feels like a scam and cultural appropriation LOL. the least you could do is put the things in spanish or have a menu that caters to your spanish speaking clients. if you’ve never had authentic mexican food i guess i would recommend this place but even then i would want the people to genuinely like and enjoy the food so then again, i would send them off to a taco truck or something (el matador restaurant)..at least they had horchata but it was also…disappointingly…far from good 😊 my mom is from michoacán who makes it authentically from there! and her food is NOT sweet. having visited her hometown as well, you’ll quickly come to find that even in michoacán, the foods there aren’t sweet if anything they still have spice and seasoning to them. i understand not being able to cater to everyone and their palette but even then with so many other reviews stating that it’s bland you’d think they would add some type of spice. with that being said, our server was nice. that’s about the only positive to this place.

The drive thru seems to be an entirely different experience — inside seems a lot funner. I would recommend against using the drive thru even if you’re lookin for a quick bite. The menu for the drive thru is much more limited — it has a fraction of the items as inside. I saw their fried ice cream in pictures from other reviews, but they don’t offer it in the drive thru. We only came because we had a BOGO entree when using the drive thru, and I left disappointed. Ordering was confusing and it seems we accidentally traded a salad in place of the rice and beans that we already had declared as the 2 sides. I just wanted lettuce and cilantro to go alongside my salad like at Cafe Rio. The food was pretty quick to come out, but the quality was lacking. The lonesome burrito looked sad to me and weirdly wrapped. The flavor was decent. The tortillas seems to be fresh, and I love a good tortilla. The smothered burrito was kind of gross. It seems like they just put the sauce and cheese on top then microwaved it. The beans and rice were actually a really poor quality. The rice tastes like they’re from a package and the beans were runny and tasted bland. I won’t be coming back to even try the inside despite the other positive reviews.
