Bon Fritay — Restaurant in Orem

I've had two meals here now, and so had my son. Top marks all around. We've tried quite a few of their menu items. Their griot is exquisite, banan peze are on point, and the pikliz is the right level of spicy. I talked with the mom and son today while I waited and found out she was a proper Madam Fritay in Delmas, and so was her mom! They really know what they are doing. And check this out. In Haiti when you want fritay, you bring your plate to her and she fills it up, you pay and go home to eat. Today, for fun, I brought my own plate, had a great meal and felt some welcome nostalgia. Since I moved to Utah more than a year ago, I had been wanting authentic Haitian food, so I drove approximately forty minutes from Salt Lake City to Orem to eat Bon Fritay. It was well worth the commute. The Griot/Pork Fried Plate, which I had, was extremely delicious.

James is incredibly kind and delivers excellent customer service. I’m Haitian, and I enjoy eating traditional food that tastes like a beautiful home cooked meal and Bon Fritay provided me that amazing experience. I will definitely be back for more. Keep up...

I had a great experience at Bon Fritay in Orem! The food tastes amazing and authentic the fried plantains, chicken with rice and beans, and griot were all delicious. The portions are generous for the price, and everything was fresh and well-seasoned. The staff was kind and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about the food they make.
