Papa Murphy's, a take-and-bake pizza chain, offers a unique concept in the pizza industry. The customer selects the desired toppings, and the pizza is prepared in-store but taken home for baking. This review will evaluate various aspects of Papa Murphy's, including the quality of ingredients, customer service, pricing, and overall experience.
Quality of Ingredients: Papa Murphy's prides itself on using fresh and high-quality ingredients. The vegetables, meats, and cheeses appear to be of decent quality, and the dough is made in-house daily. However, the ultimate taste depends on the customer's baking skills, as the pizza is not pre-cooked. The ingredient variety caters to diverse preferences, allowing customers to customize their pizzas according to taste.
Customer Service: The staff at Papa Murphy's is generally attentive and helpful. They assist customers in choosing toppings and provide clear instructions for baking at home. However, the effectiveness of service can vary depending on the location. Some may find the service more personalized and engaging, while others might experience a more routine interaction.
Pricing: Papa Murphy's pricing structure is reasonable, reflecting the concept of take-and-bake. The cost is generally lower than that of traditional delivery or dine-in pizza establishments. This appeals to budget-conscious consumers who prioritize value for money. Additionally, frequent promotions and discounts contribute to making the pizzas even more affordable.
Menu Variety: The menu at Papa Murphy's is extensive, offering a range of pizzas, salads, and desserts. The ability to create custom pizzas allows for a personalized experience. However, the variety might be overwhelming for some, and first-time visitors may find it challenging to navigate the plethora of options.
Baking Experience: The unique aspect of taking the pizza home to bake adds an interactive element to the dining experience. While this feature empowers customers to enjoy a freshly baked pizza, it also requires a degree of effort and time. Some may appreciate the hands-on approach, while others might prefer the convenience of having a ready-to-eat pizza delivered.
Overall Experience: Papa Murphy's provides a distinctive pizza experience that caters to a specific niche. The quality of the pizza largely depends on the customer's baking skills, which adds an interesting twist to the traditional pizza consumption process. The affordability, variety, and customization options make it an attractive choice for those seeking a budget-friendly and personalized pizza experience.
In conclusion, Papa Murphy's innovative take-and-bake concept offers a fresh perspective on enjoying pizza. While the overall experience may not suit everyone's preferences, it provides a viable alternative for those looking for customizable, affordable, and freshly baked...
Read moreNot too happy with tonight’s experience. I went in at 6:55 to pick up my pizza that was supposed to be ready at 6:45. When I walked in two of the girls were just chatting in the back, while one was hurriedly making pizzas. I asked about my order to which the girl replied “oh shoot.” I told them I was fine to wait, but my dog was in the car and I would like to know how long it would take. The staff member told me 15-20 minutes. I walked back in 15 minutes later to the same girls who had been chatting in the back. When I asked about my order they actually laughed at me and said ”yeah, you’re going to have to come back later. We have multiple people before you, and it’s going to take like 30 minutes.” When I told them my dog was in the car they laughed at me again and told me I should probably take him home.
This was extremely upsetting because I had already been waiting for 15 minutes. I don’t even mind waiting on a busy night, but would have preferred they told me to go home and come back later in the first place. Normally we love Papa Murphy’s, but today’s experience was just flat out awful. I get that it’s a busy Saturday night, and I’ve worked at a restaurant before, I understand what it feels like to be overwhelmed, but the staff tonight were just rude and...
Read moreI really enjoy Papa Murphy's, but this location (1600 n orem) is less than stellar when it comes to efficiency and service, the few times I've chosen to order. When placing an online order, it gives an approximate pick up time which is never accurate. I usually end up waiting 20-30 mins later than estimated.
Upon waiting for my order, the teenage employees showed poor customer service. Even people walking in to order were neither greeted or asked if they'd like to order. There never seems to be a manager on staff, or the owner of this location is never there. I thought it was very poor taste as the employees are talking about jumping ship and going to work at Wingers, ROI or McDonald's. All the while in front of customers, making their orders. Those with online orders were waiting for an hour if not longer, while the walk ins who managed to place orders were getting their pizzas before those waiting. A customer asked if anything was going to be done, for having waited near an hour and they brushed her off, didn't offer an apology or anything to somewhat make the experience a positive one. All they said to the lobby of customers was, "it's Friday. Our manager doesn't know how to schedule properly"....
