Giving it 3 stars because it’s good but not great. Corn in the cup was not fresh. It had all the great toppings but the corn tasted like it wasn’t fresh and when I looked closer at the corn it looked a little brown. It was edible and hadn’t gone bad but coming from a Mexican corn lover and a daughter of people who sold corn for a living this just wasn’t the freshest it could be. The toppings on it though we’re all great and I still ate it. Fresas con crema were more sour creamy than I’d like and was hoping it be sweeter but strawberries we’re definitely fresh and had a bite to them. I also got a mangonada paleta and a strawberry kiwi paleta. They both were good and taste like they have real fruit but also taste like it might have some flavoring that is artificial too. I’m not sure but I do feel like they are good but have had better more fruit tasting paletas from other shops. Customer service was great no concerns. I would be back if I’m around orem but don’t think I would drive from Saratoga springs anymore like I did to try. Overall, happy to see another spot like this in general and I’m still open to trying more items on their menu just giving my honest review from my...
Read moreWould NOT recommend for those with food allergies. Staff is incompetent. Having never been there, I specifically stated that I had a dairy allergy and asked what she recommended that was dairy free. The Angel cup was suggested. I pointed out that the Angel cup had cream (which could have been coconut, or other DF option - hence my question) and granola on it, and asked if those were dairy free. She assured me twice that it was, and proceeded to make my cup with the DF ice cream and fruit I chose. I was handed a cup with not only that but also a cookie and wafer in it (which I had no idea if they were dairy free or not), and upon taking the first bite I immediately knew the cream was heavy cream, not a DF alternative. For being an establishment that lists specific dairy free options of ice cream, you can’t even train your staff on what the cream is??? Absolute waste of...
Read moreMore of a slushee or sherbet than an ice cream (they should label it so). The ice cream and popsicles are made from the same (water) base. Flavors are obviously created by syrups. Taste and texture is far more sugar than cream. You'll likely find it tasteful like candy should be, but don't expect quality ice cream. Perhaps this is a true version of Mexican ice cream, but I wouldn't know because I'm from the United States and I don't speak Spanish (seriously, maybe it is...among the staff and the 20 people patronizing the business during my 30-minutes stay, only myself and one other party spoke English). It's not bad, so why only 2 stars? Because I'm a foodie and there are legitimate gustatory reasons why French food is fine dining and Mexican...
