Let's be real, no one expects a Michelin Star experience when going to Wienerschnitzel, you go because it's convenient, cheap, and their corn dogs aren't half bad. Unfortunately, we live in an era where they feel justified charging 17 bucks for a combo meal, but are too embarrassed to acknowledge it on their drive-thru menu. Instead, they attempt to hide it by posting the 'small' prices, but they automatically bill you for the 'regular.' They never asked if I wanted the 'regular' size or 'biggie bag,' they simply advertise their most cost effective options in an effort to reduce the perceived cost. All while continuing to charge for the regular option, which I would imagine shocks others, as it did me. When you get to the window wondering why, they act indifferent, resulting in the long wait times and lengthy conversations you've seen mentioned in other reviews. They then itemize your receipt, so every single item in a combo can be cost adjusted, only to then list the 'combo meal' as a discount. The kicker is that discount is calculated for the 'small' sizes posted, meaning the cost of regular or large combo's is inflated. It's false advertising, dishonest, and shady...they need to be reported. I'm clearly bothered enough to leave this review, and you better believe I'll take the effort to contact the Better...
Read moreTruly am so mad I doubt I'll return anytime soon.
My order was placed at 7:42 pm and I did not receive my order until 8:05 pm
I am mostly irritated with the wait and as well the male drive thru attendant. whom almost deliberately refused to swipe my card and thankfully..
another female employee was on it and swiped my card like pro she was on it and awesome.
My point is I know there are only two locations left one in salt lake and this one in Orem I am regular with a order that's not changed in twenty years of going here
The service I received this evening was deplorable and I only received two of the three burgers I ordered and it's all cold and inedible going to have to wait and microwave my food now.
I will say it's an ingenious business idea to close your lobby and turn away customers whom you need for revenue
This is truly my worst experience here and I'm in no hurry to return to either location anytime soon
Truly a sad day for this chili lover rip wienerschnitzel thanks for the memories Done for good and best of luck
To the eyes that read this I hope your experience is better than this one......
Read more04 Sept 2023 - 5 Stars My 87 year-old father (on hospice) & I celebrated a memory from when we lived in California. We came to Wienerschnizel for lunch (it was only about 25 minutes away). I had not been to this brand since 1976 (47 years ago), the year I moved from the Los Angeles area to Yakima, WA. Dad has been to this brand just one time since 1976. That was with two of his granddaughters in Gilmore, California, but that was many, many years ago as well. We sat and visited, sharing memories and stories after finishing our meal. It was a great afternoon. I remember Dad taking me to Wienerschnizel when I was young. This is where I first remember eating a hotdog and falling in love with eating chili cheese dogs and mustard dogs. They're still two of my favorites.
The staff were extra friendly and helpful today as my father had a minor cut on his arm that they helped me get cleaned up and bandaged.
Yes, the food is what it is. But that food is so filled with memories today. I still loved my two favorites and sharing a dog with my...
