7/9/25 my first time trying Al Hamawi and itâs been highly recommended to me by many people. Greeting- hello how are you will suffice in English. Assume your clientele does not speak Arabic. I was followed around the store like my every move was being watched. It was not comfortable.
Paying for nuts, and chocolate on one side is a great idea but it isnât clear on where to order or stand. I think another stanchion will help so they are completely separate lines.
Music/ speaker- Playing a Muslim prayer on a loud speaker is not very welcoming or inviting if you are NOT Muslim.
There are so many Christian Middle Eastern people in Orland Park and as business owners we WOULD NEVER subject people to hearing Christian prayers on a loud speaker.

I most likely would not have left a review but the addan was very off putting. If I was a regular American white Joe, I wouldnât want to hear prayers. Play Classical Arabic music like the other 5 Middle Eastern ...
Read moreAl Hamawi is hands down one of the best coffee spots Iâve ever visited. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a great experience.
The coffee at Al Hamawi is exceptionalâsmooth, bold, and full of character. Whether itâs a classic espresso, a velvety cappuccino, or one of their signature Arabic coffee blends, every sip reflects quality and craftsmanship. The attention to detail in preparation truly shows that this place takes pride in its coffee.
Their menu also features a variety of delicious sweets and snacks that pair perfectly with the drinks. The baklava and maamoul are especially worth tryingâfresh, flavorful, and authentically made.
What really makes Al Hamawi special, though, is the hospitality. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Theyâre always happy to offer recommendations or just chat, making every visit feel personal.
Itâs more than just a coffee shopâitâs a place where quality meets tradition and community. Highly...
