Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Orland Township

The only positive outcome we had from this visit was our server, I believe her name was Chianne. (Sorry I'm terrible with names.) First, the hostess was in the middle of discussing seating which was for 3 people. And then, we were rudely interrupted by another customer. So naturally the hostess walked away for a few minutes. Then when we are seating, we are seated in the corner where I can barely see any TVs and their programs. Again, our server was very friendly, had a good smile, which tells me she actually cares about her job, and it's not just a paycheck. But if it was just a paycheck, I could understand the other service and food we received. For starters, our food took longer than expected. And I've worked in a kitchen for over a decade--i could clearly see an issue with communication, mainly on the expo station. Half our food sat on the window and half wasn't ready for another 20 mins. Food just didn't taste fresh at all. And it clearly wasn't because they were busy bc there was under 30 people at capacity excluding the working staff. Then the manager proceeded to ask if we needed anything, generally I think because he knew our food wasn't fresh. I understand food service can be hectic, long, and understaffed, etc, but the better the communication with the team, the easier the flow. Hopefully they can be trained to be a better standard so people won't continue to have this...

I don't usually like to write negative reviews but I have to say my peace as I've been a patron of this specific location for over 20 years.

I have visited this restaurant 4 times over the last 3 months and every time I have come here during this time period, I have encountered some of the absolute worst service I've ever had at this location. I don't know what's going on with the serving staff as of late, but no patron, in any sit-down restaurant should go more than 15 minutes without a server at least coming to check on them to see if anything is needed. Server's should also make you feel comfortable and welcome as long as you're dining. I'm sad to say, I haven't felt this way here in quite some time. The servers I've had made me feel more like a burden than a guest and that really doesn't make for a good dining experience.

Now if the restaurant was understaffed or extremely busy, I can see that being an excuse for the long wait and general downer attitude. Serving is a tough job, you deal with a lot of things other people don't. This wasn't the case in any of these visits and also shouldn't really be my burden to bear as a patron either.

Anyways, I really hope someone at this location sees this. The food truly is still good, and you do get great portion sizes for the money; especially with their promotions, but please, for the love of god, please do something about this...

We ate on the bar side of the restaurant at a high top. Most times we sit at the bar and eat and drink but this time there were no seats together available. A server came and got our drink order and brought them to us pretty quickly in spite of it being busy. He then took our food order. There are many TVs in the bar area to watch games and this particular night college basketball was playing. We both got beer on draft. I ordered a Mich ultra and I think the beer on draft here is always super cold, clean tasting and satisfying with wings. I normally don't order beers but at BWW I do. Our food order came out in a timely manner also. We ordered a small basket of potato wedges with shredded cheese and 10 traditional chicken wings, half spun in hot sauce and half rubbed with desert heat rub. My fave are the desert heat rubbed wings. I prefer the dry rub over the sauces and the desert heat is about a 6.5 on the spice level of heat IMO. There's a heat that creeps up on you, it's good but not overly spicy. The wings themselves were also hot temp wise and fresh tasting. The wedges with cheese on this visit were piping hot and very cheesy! We have eaten at this BWW location numerous times and I find that the service and food is always consistently good and better than other BWWs I have been to. This time the food was especially good tho. I recommend this place for your wing...
