I feel compelled to share my recent disheartening experience at Starbucks, a place I've been a loyal customer of for quite some time. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Orland Park location was far from satisfactory.
Upon redeeming my birthday treat, I encountered unwarranted hostility from the Starbucks staff. The process of using my birthday reward was unnecessarily challenging, leaving me feeling unwelcome. To add to the frustration, my drink order, a venti with light ice, was mishandled. Initially given a grande, the situation was addressed only to receive a venti that was disproportionately filled with ice.
What truly compounded the disappointment was the attitude of the barista who handed me the revised drink. Not only did she fail to offer a sincere apology, but her eye-rolling behavior added a layer of disrespect that was entirely uncalled for. Experiencing such hostile treatment on my birthday was not only disappointing but genuinely hurtful.

Read moreFirst off, their wifi actually doesn’t work. Then they take forever to give a drink, like twenty minutes for a tall drink is crazy, do you not know how to make a drink?? It literally your job. Their service is so rude, they took 5 minutes to finally take our order and then gave us rude tone and yelled at us saying “ Are you gonna order or not” I will order once you finally come and take it. I then come back later but through the drive through and they did the same thing except I was in the drive through for around 15 minutes. Every car in-front of us left because no one was coming to take their order. Then we got to the ordering screen and he came five minutes later and had attitude like its my fault I didn’t order yet. He was being so rude we ordered the drink and he said “ ARE YOU GONNA ORDER OR NOT” , as if I didn’t just order. We then asked for a estimate on how long the drink will take and he yelled at us saying “I CANT GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE ARE YOU GOING TO ORDER! “ I’m not understanding how this guy can be mad at me because he doesn’t like his job. Read moreI don’t really leave negative reviews but by the gods… I went in here and no one acknowledged me for a full three minutes, even as I stood at the counter. It was empty inside, the parking lot good sized and almost no cars and inside only three people (myself included). The person who finally decided to help me could be heard muttering under his breath about having to help me - cool, love that.
The person who was on break (one of the other two people in the store) was sprawled out in a chair in the corner with their apron strewn across the table (super hygienic, no doubt). Their tablet device was up at an angle that suggests they were taking a photo or a video of me as I sat for five minutes to wait for the drink…
And when the drink came? It SMELLED SO BAD I immediately threw it away. What the actual word?! This was weird for the vibes, poor product, and garbage service. I would have tipped too. Happy...
