Sleep Number products are premium products backed by fast food chain service. No one seems concerned about our needs, follows through on their word, or truly values customer’s time. I would avoid the company in its entirely. My story is below.
We purchased a bed in November at this location expressing specifics about our home and past difficulty with deliveries reaching our 2nd do to a narrow stairwell. Our sales person on multiple occasions blew off our concerns, guessing a $12k bed purchase was mor important. Well, the bed and base did not fit after two delivery attempts. The lasted about 2 minutes with the crew rushing out of our house before noticed damage to our stairs and walls. The 2nd crew was more accommodating attempting to deliver it after I removed the railing. Still didn’t fit and we contacted customer service about the damage and need to return the product.
Fast forward 3 months and we receive a phone call from Synchrony on a morning attempting to collect 3 months of payments. Utterly surprised, I let the rep know that the product was returned. Turns out, Sleep Number hadn’t notified them of this leaving the purchase as ‘pending’. I was told to contact Sleep Number and call Synchrony back. Well of course, Sleep Number isn’t available on weekends, at least finance isn’t. The store rep confirms this as well as the inability to help, most honest person through out this. Now I must take time during work to deal with a product I don’t have, at least 3 potential hits to my credit report, and expecting a ‘we’re very sorry about this…”.
As a former pharmaceutical and automotive sales rep, service is everything. The customer isn’t always right, but the company needs to own when...
Read moreMy husband and I own a sleep number bed that we purchased a year ago. It’s awesome, no complaints. I just bought sheets online and brought them in to exchange them because I bought the wrong size. When I called the gentleman was very nice and asked if I could come the next day because they were very busy. I asked if they had the sheets I wanted and he said yes. I asked him if he could hold a set for me and he said there were two and not likely to sell out as it was later in the day.
When I arrived the next day the sales lady seemed mildly annoyed that I brought them there and told me I should have done it online. She started to help me and then left to help a newly arrived customer. The next employee basically told me that they work on commission and the first sales lady didn’t want to miss out on a possible sale so they rotate. She said they don’t make any $$ off of the exchange of sheets and if another customer came in someone else would have to finish the transaction because it was her turn in the rotation.
She was not trying to be rude and helped us but the bed we bought last year was $10,000. I was trying to exchange $300 sheets and was made to feel like I was just an inconvenience. After all of that I was told they didn’t have the sheets I wanted in-store… she said they must have sold out. 🤦🏻♀️
While I do love my bed I wasn’t too impressed with this...
Read moreAlthough the salesperson was nice the product was terrible and the base non refundable. I am supposed to be getting the best sleep of my life however I received my bed last month, slept on it 3 time, all 3 times on different sleep setting and woke up with excruciating back pain. This my friends is a glorified air mattress! It did not support my bigger frame at all. On the low sleep number my hips were touching the frame! Worst mattress I've ever slept in! Now I have a king size bed taking up my master bedroom and am sleeping on my old mattress again in my spare bedroom with no way to return the frame! They say it's compatible with all standard mattresses but fact is I font want any of it! It's a SCAM! They get you to buy the whole package but the most expensive part (the frame) is final sale, non refundable! Do not get scammed by SLEEP NUMBER like I did! I hope this helps somebody...
