I was hesitant to write a review, but after seeing the owner's rude comments back to other reviews that were not unreasonable, it made me change my mind. One can see a lot about someone's character based on how they respond to feedback and clearly this owner believes his café shop is the best in Orlando (a direct quote from one of his replies below) and honestly someone needs to come down their high horse and be humbled a little because it is NOT the best café in Orlando. Take the feedback and try to do better.
I dined in yesterday and tipped over 20% from my 2 orders. I ordered once then went back in line and ordered a 2nd time because I felt rushed to order since there are no menus near the door and you have to see the menu at the counter. Even so I went back in line a second time to order what I forgot. My first order had 2 hot drinks and 2 breakfasts. The 2nd order had a side I forgot to order and pastries togo. The first order did not come out at once. There was a large time lapse between the 1st and second breakfast from that first order. The 1st breakfast was also missing a side (not the one I forgot, I ordered a second side in the second order). We never received the hot drinks even though other customers who ordered after us got all their drinks and food. The second order came out and I told the server we are missing items because she wanted to take the number tags. I watched the server go inside and it did not appear as if spoke with anyone to see what was missing instead she kept bringing orders out. We waited 10 more minutes and we did not get the missing items. I requested a refund for all items I did not receive. I did not request a refund for the tip I gave which I should have because it was at this point almost 40% of what the actual total of items I ended up receiving. I do not believe they refunded the amounts correctly, but I will see after the charges post as they are currently pending still. If I have to go back to fix anything I will be requesting the café correct the amount and only tip 10% of the correct amount.
Another reason for my posting a review is that staff clearly did not know who ordered what or checked in to ask why I still had 2 number tags on our table. I had to tell the lady when she tried to take the tags. I saw the café was busy and tried to wait to give them the benefit of my doubts but when they brought the second order and families behind me from even the 2nd time I ordered had all their food and drinks, that is when I decided to request the refund. The staff did apologize and offered to make the coffee's and missing items, but we had already been there a while and our breakfasts were done at that point I did not want any further service. I wanted to leave to find some water to drink. Not once was I rude to staff but I am sure they could see I was upset. I did not take their offer to fix anything because they were clearly clueless of what is going on and I did not need further aggravation by waiting for them, which I had low confidence they would be able to get the rest of the order out timely.
Lastly, the vibe was just off. It did not feel warm and welcoming. the service solidified this. I guess my tip for future customers is go when its not busy, although the "best café in Orlando" should be able to...
Read moreLet me begin this review by saying that I have repeatedly tried to like this café, as it is walking distance from where I live and would be so convenient, but alas, it seems Caffè Tutto never fails to disappoint me. I have eaten there for breakfast, lunch, dessert & coffee, and every time I leave telling myself I should not go back. First, the prices are incredibly high, although I understand this is downtown Baldwin Park so that is to be expected. I'm sure rent there is through the roof. It's the quality of the food that is very low for the prices customers are paying. "Tutto" in Italian means everything, so the café literally serves everything, from eggs to crepes to lunch sandwiches to gelato, to desserts, etc. That on its own should be a big red flag. How can you keep fresh ingredients for ALL of these options? Well, you can't. I have ordered desserts that were stale, and breakfast omelettes advertised as coming with pesto when they were served with some cheap dressing instead. My SO once ordered a ham sandwich that came with turkey instead. Coffee was once served to me as espresso with hot water. My hot chocolate once arrived cold. Sure, you can tell them, "hey this is cold, hey this is blah blah blah and should be..." but come on already. I don't want to have to complain every single time I step in there. This morning I went in with my laptop to get some caffeine and when I politely asked a waitress what the WiFi password was, she nudged her head towards a sign in the corner without a smile or single word then went back to working. The password was some awful complicated combination of capital letters, non capital letters, numbers, symbols etc, instead of being, um, I don't know, Tutto1234? Welcome@Tutto? Why would you make your password so hard if it weren't to discourage customers from using your WiFi? I stood there for 5 minutes typing and retyping the password in my phone, checking the spelling every single time and was unable to connect to the Internet so I left. This...
Read moreI recently discovered Tutto Caffe and couldn't have been more pleased. Since my discovery I have had breakfast there frequently and I've told others about my new favorite place and brought friends and family to try it out.Breakfast time is very busy but the service has been quick and the girl at the register is always very friendly. The presentation of the food is done well and it tastes great! If I had written this post yesterday, I would have given Tutto's 5 stars. However, my husband and I thought we would try out Tutto's caffe for coffee and dessert in the evening. Our experience was completely different. We ordered two pastries and two cappucinos. Our pastries came, but our coffee never did. We tried to get the attention of several of the servers but they never made eye contact or heard us as we said, "Excuse Me", we watched the one young man in front of the coffee machine on his phone rather than making our cappucinos. Finally, I got up to tell the guy on his phone and the girl who took our order that we never got our cappucinos. She looked at me and said nothing and then headed back to the register. I think I might have expected something like Oh I'm so sorry, we will get it right away. But that didn't happen. I repeated it again to the guy that was playing on his phone and this time he heard me and then made our coffees. The beautiful design on the top was impressive but the cappucino tasted like a cup of thick foamy warm milk minus the expresso. The deleche cake was huge but it was overpoweringly sweet. The filling on the cannoli tasted like sugary cream. Where was the ricotta and chocolate chips? We spent a lot on coffee and dessert and left disappointed. My hope in writing this review Tutto's Cafe is it to work on improving the night time experience for your customers and get it up to the excellent level of the...
