I went there with my two adult daughters for the third time . I was not much impressed by the food before , but the atmosphere is good and it is in a great location . My daughther ordered a chicken gyro and it came with so much dressing that it was dripping everywhere. It tasted over seasoned with too much garlic . We all tried to eat that but nobody could eat the gyro . When we brought up to our server , he said there was nothing wrong with the gyro and the problem was the fact that my daughther “ did not like their most popular dish .” He brought the bill with this uneatable gyro charged and no apologies . I was fine and I understand sometimes dishes do not come right as usual, but I asked him to tell the chef about the excess of dressing to be more aware next time . My intent was continuing going there . He then repeated that there was nothing wrong with the gyro and that he had already served five of them that day and nobody complained about it . Unfortunately, I will not go back there . I am not upset about paying for something we did not eat . My frustration is having a comment invalidated and completely dismissed . It never happened to me before . I think it was kind of unexpected and I wish they could correct that . They may lose many costumers if they continue doing that. I wish them the best .I know it is hard to work in the food industry , but I had to write this review . I hope this review will serve to help them to improve...
Read moreI visited Meza with my family for a Friday night dinner and we had a fantastic experience. The staff was caring and genuine. Everybody seemed to be having a very nice and relaxed time.
The restaurant decor is modern and classy. They have a main dining area with beautiful lamps and a gorgeous tiled floor. At the back they have a bar area that serves as a interesting backdrop and provides a nice accent to the environment.
What I liked the most was the simplicity and focus of the menu. They do only a few things but they do wonders with them.
We had the pita bread with hummus, tsaisiki and baba ganoush. You can tell they use very fresh ingredients and that they have a very clear idea of the flavors they want to deliver. The texture of the baba ganoush is a bit thicker than what I've had elsewhere. The flavor was on point. This was my favorite from the dips. My wife loved it as well.
We also had the mixed grill with chicken, beef and lamb. The cuts of meat were excellent. All moist and done to perfection. Each type was seasoned assertively and distinctly. The chicken was garlicky, the beef had a beautiful hint of cardamom and the lamb was dosed with a lovely black pepper spiciness. The meat comes with a side of the most buttery delicious grilled veggies I've ever had.
For dessert we had the baklava. It comes with a very rich buttered honey sauce. Fantastic way to finish a such...
Read moreReviewing this literally 5 minutes after getting my food. This was actually the worst Mediterranean food I have ever eaten. I am middle eastern and it is my favorite type of food without question and I am utterly embarrassed that people might eat here and associate this food with the Mediterranean. I ordered a lentil soup and the mixed grill. The soup was absolutely nothing like any lentil soup you would find in the Mediterranean or Middle East. They used green lentils and I swear it was just served in hot water and broth because it was so flavorless. The meats in the mixed grill were just as bad. I made my girlfriend try my chicken because it genuinely tastes like chemicals. Like they had tried the clean the grill and then put the meat right on top of the cleaning substance. The steak was flavorless and over cooked and the bed of rice they sat on was the worst rice I ever had. My gf said the rice came out as if a 10 year old was trying to cook rice for the first time. Even the pita they gave me on the side of the meal was stale. I consider myself a lazy person and it really does take a lot for me to leave a review. I am currently sitting here in utter disgust. I spent 33 dollars on the two things too. 33 dollars for a lunch for one person and it was absolutely inedible. The only moment of the meal I enjoyed was when I threw the full soup and mixed grill in...
