I have to say this review is long overdue. Being an avid ‘dining out’ kind of person - first impressions is an obvious must but their consistency is what’s going to draw me back.
I think in order to be inducted as legit Koreans they must have undergone a series of tests when they were young as to how much heat they can handle. I’m not from a Korean household.. so thats a dead giveaway right there.. I’m a wimp when it comes to heat. For wimps like me.. don’t worry! They have dishes for wimps and of course, for the heat lovers. 🤣
This restaurant introduced me to Sundubu soup (flavorful tofu stew base) that you can customize the heat level from non spicy to super tingly numb heat (your butt will cuss you out probably😆 afterwards). You can choose your protein (my favorite is the beef). The soup is comforting and satisfying. There is a perfect ratio between broth and meat and tofu. You receive your soup bubbling hot and you (yes.. YOU!) crack a fresh egg. This Sundubu alone is already worth the 30-40 minute drive from the east side. Their Galbi is flavorful and tender. The sparerib cut and meat quality is very premium. Their side dishes are fresh and has a perfect split of spicy and non spicy.
You can tell that this tofu house has their regulars. They get packed fast (I’ve seen some opt for take out instead). Staff are very friendly and accommodating and service is spot on. The prices are reasonable.. and you know how far your dollars went when you get out of the restaurant feeling like you’re about to give birth🫣! Worth every penny!
I have made at least 10 trips to BBB in the last 5 months and in every visit our party was greeted with the same exceptional service and tasty food. We had no visit to BBB that left us saying “the food taste different maybe it’s a different chef in the kitchen”. NEVER.
This consistency and impeccable service that BBB Tofu House delivers is what makes our long drive to have a meal or a feast worth it.
Thanks BBB! We will be back...
Read moreBBB Tofu House is by far the best Korean Soup shop area the Orlando area. My family and I usually orders Galbi and Kimchi+Pork soups plus K-Pop chicken. Galbi soup my wife get it plain as she usually share with my son, but everytime the soup is consistently good. The kimchi pork soup is well balanced between spice and flavors. However, if you prefer a more sour tasting traditional Korean this is not it.. BBB Tofu House balances the soup out so you taste everything, which I found nice as sourness of certain korean soups just covers up all over flavors. If you like ramen which my family does, you can get it added on and they increases the bowl size too. The K-pop chicken comes with spicy cheese powder, honey and Chipotle like sauce which we prefer to have it on the side in order to keep the crunchiness of the popcorn like chicken. I would say the K-Pop chicken is one of the best popcorn chicken around. If some thai basil is added into the frying process.. although it wouldn't be just korean popcorn chicken anymore longer, but it would be the best popcorn chicken I tasted since Asia. Lastly the management made some changes which jurassically improved the service. Now, not only the food is great, the service compliments the food ever more. Last thing that my family and I does like is the seafood pancake which is one of the best Korean seafood pancake around Orlando area, but since we love popcorn chicken more; so, we usually get that over the seafood pancake. Also the side dishes are great too especially the fish cake which is the best korean fish cake I have tasted as side dish as they make it fresh and sometimes the fish cakes comes out warm if you go there when they first open. Overall, if you into Korean soups that has a more modern twist give BBB tofu House a try. Trust me you...
Read moreRecommended by friend, so I brought husband and mom here for different occasions. I even found a paper interview of the owner.
We came here both time for lunch, be seated very quickly and the owner came by to make sure if we were the first time here, he would walk you through the menu and give you recommendations.
7 small dishes were served right away, they were all veggie except a fish cake plate, love all the flavor, look for more spicy kick as I am an Aisan, American spicy doesn't taste too much for me.
1st Visit: Galbi Combo: BBQ Short Rib with assorted soon Tofu Seafood Soondubu
2st Visit: Dol Pan Kimchi Bokum Bap (Kimchi Fried Rice) Spicy Squid on Hot Stone
Galbi Combo, everything brought out fresh made on hot stone, love the heat temperature-wise. Short Rib was juicy and grilled perfectly. Love the soon Tofu came out hot and bubbling. Seafood Soondubu, again it came out hot and bubbling, seafoods were OK, but surprisingly so BLAND. All soon Tofu soup for me was too bland and not spicy at all. Disappointment.
All Entrees came with white rice, hot and soft, good to eat with tofu and the soup.
MUST TRY: Dol Pan Kimchi Bokum Bap (Kimchi Fried Rice), Owner brought out the rice on hot stone in front of you and asked if you want egg and cheese on the rice, then he would mix them up for you. OMG you have to try this, it's in heaven. I will order this every single time I visit there. Spicy Squid on Hot Stone, Love this. First I love squid, and they definitely seasoned well with perfect combinations of onion, peppers and veggies.
Love they serve or cook foods on hot stone, keep everything temperature hot. Also, the owner gave the best service, you feel so comfortable to dine in here. Foods are decent too. Will recommend this Korean restaurant to...
