What a fantastic hotpot place! We've been to Volcano Hot Pot in Orlando, Nine Spices in St Pete, Boil Spot and Yum Yum Hot Pot in Tampa - JuicyPot absolutely blows them all away! The broths were delicious - I ended up getting the beef broth. It tasted like a delicious, light pho and got better and better as I cooked meats and veggies in it. The tom yum broth was also excellent, very flavorful, zesty and a tiny bit spicy. Ask for the Sichuan broth paste on the side if you like it really hot! You can mix it into the tom yum broth for a delicious combo. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, lots of fresh options for veggies, looks like the meat was freshly sliced and frozen rather than purchased precut from an asian market. The sauce bar was great to mix up your fave dipping sauce. My favorite sauce is 1 part Sacha, 1 part ponzu, 1 part garlic, 1 part house peanut and then top it off with a bit of fresh ginger, green onions and cilantro. The revolving bar items consisted of dried noodles and rice cakes that were covered instead of open plates like other hotpot places. I definitely appreciated the food being covered and properly displayed/clean. Our waiter Emanuel was also fantastic, I hope we see him again next time we go. $20 each for lunch was an absolute steal. They also have boba drinks (milk teas and mango fruit tea) that looked good as well but we planned to go to Bambū in the same shopping center afterwards for boba drinks (definitely check them out too, they're excellent!). We will only be coming here to JuicyPot from now on! Til then, I'll be dreaming about the next time we visit Orlando and can get...
Read moreThis is my first time dining in a restaurant since COVID-19 lockdown happened, and I’m quite happy with my experience. We had to travel to Orlando to take care of some personal matters.
I chose JuicyPot after seeing reviews of how clean it is and, fortunately, we arrived into town right when they opened. We have a little one, so I was a bit more confident about dining in knowing no one was there yet. After, embarrassingly, struggling to open the door we were greeted and seated right away. The place is pristine and beautiful.
Our waitress (young, Vietnamese? woman) was amazing. She explained everything we needed to know. When I first got up to grab sauces, she told me she forgot to mention there are gloves that we need to use. I completely missed them when I walked by and was quite glad she pointed it out. She kept checking on us throughout our visit (though she started to get more tables) and kept making sure my little one had everything he needed.
The hotpot was tasty. We got the seafood broth and a few appetizers. The wings and calamari were amazing. 10/10 would come again just to eat those. They have more than enough options for hotpot. I always end up getting too full off starchy things like udon. We asked another server for another portion of shrimp (our second serving) but it never arrived.. which ended up working out because we were stuffed.
The tables aren’t seated at every other one but they have dividers in between. The bathroom was super clean and spacious. They started getting pretty busy so we hurried to finish and leave. Got a Thai tea togo and it was delicious! Can’t wait...
Read moreWe have been to several hot pot places in Orlando and this one has a lot of options that other places do not have. You can see the photo of the menu for yourself. The yellow menu has the ala-carte prices, but for $20 you might as well go for the all you can eat! Right now during the pandemic the conveyor belt is turned off but they make sure to get you all you can eat and more!
We also got to meet and had a great conversation with the owner who is a pillar of the Orlando community. Brendon is really passionate about his restaurant and took the time to painstakingly go over the entire menu so we understood all the option.
They have a few broths that I haven’t seen anywhere else such as the Szechuan which I tried, she had the beef broth. I plan to try to the Kim Chi broth next time. Szechuan is super spicy but the chef realized I would probably prefer a little less spicy than usual and it was perfect!
The sauce bar was also not available due to the pandemic but they had two amazing sauces, I had the Citrus Soy and I forget what she had but they were both incredible. She said it was the best sauce she had anywhere.
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves as far as the food is concerned. Everything was fresh as you can see and extremely well presented! We tried almost everything on the menu. You can see there are some items you don’t find at most places around Orlando mainly I’m thinking of cuttlefish and baby octopus.
Can’t say enough good things about the food, the owner, the employees and the great value! They do have ice cream but we...
