BENTO Orlando Conway — Restaurant in Orlando

The first time I experienced this place a man from Mexico that could not speak English wanted to buy me lunch. They opened during the pandemic and now I know why this Chinese oriented place doesn't take gold, nor, paper, and if you don't read English in the internet good luck ordering from here because you can't. This is the beginning of the horrible end. And they have rats outside which I'm not very happy about not just a rat for several years of rats and they come over to the nieborhoods now... That's Chinese sushi I guess? So I tried it again this time since I guess bc ive tried every restaurant in town they delivered, tried twice, delivering from the day yesterday and horrible. And I just can't believe we are doing this to ourselves? We're not giving people paper straight from the pandemic? Get em out!!!

Meaning it was in the middle of the day and since I really didn't know what he wanted I asked for a menu no it's one he computer, at the time my computer was about to die so I figured all customer service would just somehow have something I could see to order and pay with paper or gold, no they wouldn't tell me what they had to eat and for that he couldn't really use the computer and if he did there would no way for me to explain that one so I said , so I can't pay you to tell me what you have to eat no I wish it's all in line. Sadly there are no signs inside or outside that explains this so There's no way in hell I would work there telling people you have to look online we don't have a menu and for that sadly od like to see some more solar flares so the4rs no computer or phone connection is like to see if we can come up with a different way of...

We enjoyed our visit to Bento. Their place is really clean and Covid-compliant, and they make great food. We tried three of their sushi rolls: the Bamboo Roll, the Specialmex roll, and the Hot Lava roll.

Our absolute favorite was the Hot Lava roll. The roll itself contains escolar, shrimp tempura, and avocado, topped with a warm, spicy scallop and crab mixture that was delicious... yum.

We also really enjoyed the Special Mexican Roll: shrimp tempura, cream cheese and avocado, topped with shrimp, eel sausce and spicy mayo. The flavors worked really well together.

We didn't care for the Bamboo Roll on its own, as it was too dry for us, but it was good when dipped into some spicy mayo.

We can't wait to go back to try some of their hot dishes. Their soba noodle bowls look amazing.

All in all, we recommend this place.

Got a mailer because we live nearby and it's a new location. Used the free delivery through door dash. Not only did they make the driver wait at the store for an hour but they didn't even give him fresh hot food to take 30 seconds down the street. It must have been sitting for half of that hour. When we got our food (we literally live 30 seconds away) it was cold and soggy. My wife's sushi had huge chunks of wasabi stuffed right into it which made it inedible. Could not separate it from the sushi.

Bento failed big time and they caused this door dash driver to lose a good chunk of change. All our food is cold and we could have ordered from our favorite chinese spot and had it delivered in 20 mins hot and fresh for half the price. If Bento wants to make this right, I will change my rating....
