Her name was ANIE â easily the most disrespectful and rude Chick-fil-A employee Iâve ever encountered.
Iâve been going to Chick-fil-A for over 10 years, and this was hands down the worst experience Iâve ever had. Iâm only writing this because, honestly, the whole flight after, I couldnât stop thinking, âwhat did I even do to deserve that kind of attitude?â
It was 6 AM â fine, maybe she was tired or having a bad morning. But thatâs no excuse to treat paying customers like garbage. She was all smiles and friendly with the person before us (who happened to be speaking her language), and the moment she saw me, her entire demeanor flipped. Iâm a person of color myself â I donât care what language people speak â but I do care when Iâm clearly being treated differently. At a freaking airport Chick-fil-A, of all places.
Normally Iâd let stuff like this slide, but there were two separate incidents within 10 minutes that made it impossible. And if Iâm writing a whole damn essay on Google Reviews about this person, you know it was bad.
First incident: my girlfriend doesnât drink coffee and just wanted to try a sip to see if she liked it before buying one. Youâd think I asked for her paycheck. I politely asked a couple of times if we could get just a little to taste (Iâd already spent over $9 on food â wasnât asking for a freebie). Instead of answering, she completely ignored the request and said, âYou can go pick up your food in the corner over there.â I had to ask two more times before she finally handed over the tiny sample, acting shocked and visibly annoyed that I even asked. Not one smile, not a single âyouâre welcome,â nothing â just cold, irritated energy. I said âthank you so much,â and she straight-up ignored me.
My girlfriend and I sat down afterward, looked at each other, and genuinely asked, âWhat did we even do?â We waited a long time before going back up because neither of us wanted to deal with her again.
Second incident: I finally went back up to order a light ice iced coffee. She looks at me weird, tosses in maybe two ice cubes, and starts pouring. I asked nicely for just a little more ice â completely ignored. When I asked for a small cup of ice on the side, she looked at me like Iâd just asked her to hand over her retirement savings and mumbled, âJesus Christ.â
Thatâs where I drew the line. I asked her if she had a problem with me, and she hit me with this fake, sarcastic line: âNo sir, you get what you want, you get what you want.â Like seriously? Thatâs how you talk to customers?
This woman has no business working in customer service. Sheâs the exact kind of employee that ruins the reputation of a brand known for politeness and respect. If this is the standard Chick-fil-Aâs hiring now, I guess I could apply too â apparently, you donât even need basic manners anymore.
Honestly, this was the worst restaurant experience Iâve ever had, period. Serious action needs to be taken against Anie, because no customer deserves to be treated that way â especially not at a place built on kindness and customer care. Iâll be avoiding Chick-fil-A at MCO...
Read moreIâve gone to many chic fil as before because quite frankly, I love chic fil a, not just for the food but for the attitude. I used to work at chic fil a and a big difference that I noticed from chic fil a and other fast food restaurants was that the costumer service was elite and the food amazing. From all my experiences I thought that was the standard, the norm if you will.
I had been dropped at a different terminal and would have to pass security and TSA if I wanted chic fil a but f it! It was chic fil a and for some chic fil a I was willing to go through those tedious things.
I get there and this chic fil a immediately seems different. From of house has the same uniform as back of house. The menu was shorter, like no salads, tenders, mac, and the selection of drinks was minimal and a bunch of other differences. Thatâs just another observation though.
Now to the foodâŚ
Early I mentioned that thereâs a difference I notice from every chic fil a to your regular restaurant. And thatâs the soul in the food and general attitude. The food wasâŚhow do I put it. Salty from the tears of itâs employees.
The buns were hard/stiff, the chicken was salty, the fries were over cooked and salty (made it very crispy though) but the produce (lettuce and tomato) were fresh! But overall the quality of the food wasnât good :/ makes me sad to say that. I mean there wasnât even many people at the location and with less items, you would think the food quality would be on point and amazing.
They forgot to give us straws and granola for my granola parfey. Also my partner is military and he asked for the discount and they gave it to us which was cool but they didnât even ask to see his ID. They also donât have any scanner to redeem your chic fil a points or acquire more. Almost felt like a chic fil a knock off. Again, all minor stuff but it kind of falls short from the general chic fil a standard. The quality of everything is similar to what I expect from a McDonalds, meaning that it was okay, not good or amazing....
Read moreIts "my pleasure" to award this Chik-fil-a with the dishonor of worst Chik-fil-a in the entire country. If I were Chik-fil-a, I would remove my name from this building. Let me start by saying Chik-fil-a is one of my favorite restaurants! To be honest, I've NEVER had a bad experience in my countless visits but in this one short visit I had several. First, the lady who took my order was very short and rude. Very poor customer service. Second, they got both of my drinks wrong. Ok, maybe it's just early in the morning and they're tired. What would Jesus do? Forgive... ok. I take my drinks back to the counter and very nicely let them know. It takes three of them what seemed like forever to replace them, all while no apology, no smile, monotone voice while chatting with each other but not acknowledging me.... just not Chik-fil-a type service. I taste my sweet tea and it's old. It's got the funky spoiled tea taste. Finally, I get my food (farely quickly) Wow! I'm so excited, I open up the bag hastily, unravel that foil wrapper that normally encloses heavenly chicken, and my excitement is crushed. My days ruined. They literally put a chicken nugget sized piece of cold hard chicken on a half cooked biscuit and served it to me! No wonder I got my food so quick, they had the chicken ready since yesterday! The biscuit left my mouth all powdery. It wasn't golden and delicious like I'm used to. What is this? I had to check the bag and make sure I was at Chik-fil-a. Y'all are imposters! If I wanted sub par food and terrible service I would've went to McDonald's! No, I would not recommend to a friend. Or an enemy. Or my dog.
P.S. there was a couple in the line from another country that had never been to Chik-fil-a but had heard so highly about it. I'd be willing to bet their first experience was not up to their...
