Came by the East End Market one day with the goal of eating a little bit at a few different places. Well we chose Hinckley's as one of those place. We had never been, their menu looked amazing, and they had just fed Phil.
Ambiance is a storefront, but there's a great little cooler up front with a glass window and lots of fancy meats inside. There's a drink cooler right next to that. And a friendly clerk right up front with a smile on his face ready to take your order.
Service excellent. The sandwich didn't take long to make, and they bring it right to your table. They searched a while, but they found us. Really nice of them.
As for the food, wow, just wow. It's not on the menu right this second, but we got a Thanksgiving leftovers sandwich with stuffing, thick turkey slices, and a cranberry sauce relish that was just a lovely sandwich. Stuffing is always good, the turkey wasn't dry, and the cranberry added a sweet tang that really brought me back to Thanksgiving dinner. Served with a brown gravy for dipping, a really nice little meal.
Overall, this little storefront packed a lot of flavor into that sandwich. I'm dreadfully curious about the rest of their menu now. I applaud the simple menu, but done with probably high quality....
Read moreWe planned a trip to Orlando for a concert and we wanted to eat at as many places as possible that Phil Rosenthal stopped at from the Somebody Feed Phil show. We get here show up at the counter and it’s a ghost town, nobody. We wait for maybe 5-6mins and finally we see someone walk into the kitchen area, they see us make eye contact and turn around and starts doing dishes. Ok. We then wait another 5mins and another person emerges does the same thing! Finally one of them comes up to the counter doesn’t say hi or anything, just “what can I get ya”. No apology for the wait no nothing. We ordered our food and waited, when it was ready, “here ya go”. I guess they only smile and show you hospitality when there’s cameras around promoting their business. We trekked across the COUNTRY and made it a thing to visit this place. Not gonna lie the food was good. But the service that we experienced that day was trash. If we lived in the area it would be our first and last time stopping at this place. Don’t put your business on a GLOBAL tv show and not give everyone who makes the trek to try your food at the very least a smile when...
Read moreI went to East End Market last Sunday and really wanted Domu but didn’t want to wait an hour and a half. I wanted something warm and comforting and after walking around; looking at all of the menus and contemplating I decided to try out Hinckleys. I got the egg, bacon, and cheese sammy on a homemade English muffin. LORD hath mercy on my little soul. I died on the spot and came back to life after one bite. Each bite took me into a new sphere. My fiancé asked for a bite and I turned rabid. I was NOT about to share this earth shattering delicious sammy with him. Not even with my daughter, who ALSO asked for a bite. I ate every last crumb by myself. This was a week ago. I’m STILL thinking about that sandwich. Also, I have a gluten intolerance and that should tell ya something. I was willing to risk the aches and pains it causes my body for that gorgeous, beautiful, life altering sammy and I would...
