We went to check out the the new Peruvian restaurant per a few recommendations. Located in the magic mall plaza (West Colonial) across the street from Taste of Chengdu, but don’t let the location you deter you.
We started off with the “Vuelve a la vida” appetizer, a delicious mixed seafood ceviche. Amazing flavor and nice variety of fish, shrimp, and octopus in a delicious leche de Tigre lime sauce/juice.
My husband loved his mixed chaufa, a peruvian style fried rice with steak, chicken and shrimp.
I ordered the lomo saltado and loved it. Tender pieces of perfectly seasoned beef, white rice and fries.
Presentation and portion sizes were phenomenal! The server was attentive, checked on us a few times throughout the meal and our drinks were never less than half filled.

We enjoyed pisco sours (they're not on the menu, but just ask!) and received prompt, friendly service. The ceviche mixto with corvina fish was good. However, the Tallarin Lomo Saltado fell short – it was far too salty.
A point of contention was the water. We weren't offered a choice between tap and bottled water, and were simply served expensive bottled water. At $6 a bottle, especially for a restaurant in a strip mall, this felt like an unnecessary charge given we weren't given an option. Read moreThis place is a hidden gem for Peruvian food, I have living in states for many years and to be honest I don’t like eat outside Peruvian food because sometimes they don’t make it right but this restaurant is just incredible, I’m lucky to have my business next to this restaurant and this is my place to go for menu $13 dollars for a soap, entree and drink or if you wanna get a dinner. Price are really good and try pretty much everything on their menu and everything is really good!!
