Let me get this straight: this is a new business with new staff that has no prior history of serving in the Orlando area. They are a Las Vegas based restraunt that is accustomed to serving high net-worth individuals in a place of international tourism and extravagance. The cheapest single entrees run at a cool $49+ per person with combo deals (4 person deals) going for $150 plus. They justify the sharp increase in competitive pricing with a "premium cut" despite an average industry pricing at approximately a 15-20% increase for high-quality cuts. Furthermore the meat was NOT marinanded which resulted in poor tasting meat and was served in severely miniscule portions. We ordered a scallop with our combo meal which only came with TWO PIECES, that cannot justify that price tag! On a happier note the staff were extremely nice and caring towards us and went the extra mile to ask for advice on their food turnout, seemingly already knowing the some the problems that already existed. This is not a review against the workers but rather the establishment for failing to correctly price their food items and understand the local demographic of the area. You cannot fill the location that size with customers with a $49+ price tag on any entree that lacks even basic seasoning or sauce. You will lose to competitive KBBQ places 5 minutes down the street such as Bulgolgi House which offers unlimited quality meat, side dishes, and drinks at only $35 for their best all you can eat menu. So for the waiter asking me what went wrong for this restraunt, the poor meat quality is just the start of a myriad of problems with this business. This business will fundamentally fail with their fantasy business plan charging $49 for individual entrees if it cannot sustain a basic operation of just marinating a slab of meat or giving an actual decent portion of a meal so people don't have to starve themselves and look to eat at the local food court in the very same plaza. I look forward to eating here again in a couple months to see if you've all better adapted to the competition and really do hope you people manage to survive the KBBQ industry here in the heart of Mills. Hope you guys change...
Read moreExcited that this place finally opened. The place is well lighted, I like that their exhaust can be adjusted. Atleast you won't come out smelling like bbq when you come out. The grill is gas so that is pretty neat.
They offer combo set meals, the price is on higher side no doubt about that. But with everything going up, I understand the pricing. We didn't do the combo since we wanted to try the other dishes and combine beef and pork for our bbq. WWe ordered Bulgogi, which was different from what I'm used to since their bulogi beef cut was really big and it comes with glass noodles that cooks on the provided stove top. Another nice touch and it taste really good. The staff even though short staffed made sure to help us with the cooking. We also had beef brisket and 5 layer pork belly which is my favorite, the belly came with the skin, which is how we really want our pork belly, since this is how we have it in Asia
We came in during their soft opening. So be patient as they get a hang out of things. We were provided with a fried dumpling because they saw my daughter was not eating anything. (She only wants fries and nuggets .. that's another story)
My daughter ate the dumplings which I'm surprised coz she's so picky. So that's a good thing.
We also ordered the korean pancake (I wasn't able to take a photo) that one is amazing! It justifies the cost, huge cut if octopus and other seafoods. It's amazing!!
The dipping sauce for the bbq. Ask for the wasabi. Their wasabi is not that cheap powder wasabi so it added that umami to your meat. I'm getting hungry as I type this. I'm looking forward to their full opening. I saw that they're waiting for their alcohol license.
Just prepare that this is a pricier Korean BBQ spot. It's not your typical eat all you can. But Orlando definitely need a variety of Korean BBQ joint where we can choose what we want to eat and get a better meat quality.
Give it a try, my family enjoyed...
Read moreFirst time trying this restaurant, solely because I heard they serve jjajangmyeon, one of my favorite Korean dishes.
Overall: I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for Korean food. The quality of the dishes doesn’t justify the price, with poorly executed jjajangmyeon, undercooked seafood pancake, and overpriced tangsuyuk. Other Korean restaurants, such as Shinjung, Korea House, or Jumak, offer much better value and authentic flavors.
Jjajangmyeon: Unfortunately, it was really disappointing. The sauce didn’t taste fresh—it seemed like it had been cooked in a large batch and left for days rather than made to order. The vegetables were soggy, likely from sitting in the sauce too long, and the sauce itself was very watery. The noodles were also overcooked and bloated. It felt like someone with little experience in making authentic jjajangmyeon had prepared this dish.
Unless the restaurant is confident this jjajangmyeon truly represents the flavors of Korea, I’d suggest reconsidering its place on the menu. As it stands, it risks harming the restaurant’s reputation, especially among customers familiar with authentic Korean food.
Tangsuyuk: This was much better. The breading was thin and crispy, the meat was tender and well-cooked, and the sauce tasted authentic. However, the portion was priced at $26, which felt steep for a dish made with lean pork, one of the more affordable meats. While I enjoyed the taste, I wouldn’t return for this dish at that price point.
Seafood pancake: Mediocre. It wasn’t cooked long enough, so the raw, watery dough was still flowing inside the pancake. There also weren’t enough ingredients—it was mostly undercooked flour dough. Other Korean restaurants serve this dish much better.
Service: Met the standard, though it took about 10 minutes before someone came to take our order despite the restaurant not being busy. That said, our server was very nice and attentive once...
