La Madeleine — Restaurant in Orlando

As an airport location, this spot understandably lacks the charm and ambiance of a full-scale café. I stopped by during a layover, so expectations were tempered. If you've visited one of their brick-and-mortar locations, you're likely familiar with the more refined, French-inspired atmosphere they typically offer—but that's a tall order in a terminal setting.

Here, it’s all about efficiency and simplicity: no frills, just a straightforward menu and the food. They offer a selection of croissants, bagels, croissant or baguette sandwiches, quiche (Lorraine and Florentine), chips, drinks, coffee, and tea.

I went with the quiche Florentine, which was exactly what you’d expect from Le Madeleine—warm, flavorful, and satisfying. A solid choice for a quick bite...

Awful service!! And very rude. There were 5 women working but only one taking the orders and prepping the food while everyone else waited by the registers. We placed an order with that lady, who didn’t speak any english, only to find out at the register that they were out of it. She hadn’t said a word, and then we had to order something else, further delaying our food arriving.

The lady who speaks english should be taking the orders, and the younger people shouldn’t just be standing at the registers not...

Everything looked clean. 1 for food as it wasn't toasted enough. Chicken cold in the sandwich, bread warm. Server obviously didn't want to be there. I pointed to what I wanted and asked for it toasted. She wrapped a crossiant and said they are served cold. I said I didn't want the crossiant. She then threw the bag with the crossiant on the back counter. Then put my sandwich in the toaster for maybe 20 seconds. No one wants to work but we all need to put on a face....
