Lil Indies — Restaurant in Orlando

Awesome drinks!

While visiting Orlando I looked up best mixologist and found Lil Indies. We went and were not disappointed! The bartender Jennifer was very nice and made our amazing drinks.

We went on a Saturday around 5pm so we made Happy Hour. It was not very busy, I like because the bartenders can take their time with making drinks.

It was a very cute little place. It is sandwiched in by 2 other bars with the same owner. I really like the vibe it was very different. We liked it so much that after we went to eat we came back the same night.

I had the Whiskey Smash which was good and my fiancé had the Waterford 76 which he enjoyed and also had another when we returned. My second time around I had the Happy When it Rains which was rum based and very good.

They don't serve food but they do serve drinks and those drinks get five stars! They always have new art on the walls and it feels very NY underground which I love. They do comedy and music shows, but that's not why you come that's just why you stay. You will want to come in for the unique drink offerings, unique cocktails and a constantly evolving drink menu, but if I'm being honest the REAL reason you want to go to this place is because the people or person who runs it have a deep desire to do great work behind the bar. They're simply not playing around with your experience and it shows. I was in there yesterday for a show that had the room packed and everyone was talking about how fast drinks were being made behind the bar. ONE PERSON behind the bar was able to keep over 40 people happy....

If I could pick a zero, I would. Popped in today as a part of a birthday celebration. Right off the bat, we met some super nice customers at the bar. But while chatting with them, the bartender and her “regulars” were so condescending and honestly, so judgemental…kind of like middle schoolers really. We may not have fit her mold of what she preferred as customers, but we were just trying to enjoy a drink before dinner. This place was recommended by another industry person, unfortunately, it was a big flop. I could hear her talking crap right away and her peeps were doing the same. We enjoyed the place and tipped well but will not ever return. At least not on a Saturday at 4:00 pm with a piss face...
