Absolutely DO NOT recommend! I live right around the corner and have heard that Ragazzi's is quite a hot-spot in College Park, so my boyfriend and I went to get a pizza. Pizza was overpriced and over cooked. We were one of the last patrons left an hour before they closed and workers were stacking the chairs on the outside deck, whistling and yelling as we tried to enjoy our meal. We eventually got the hint and left (mind you, 45 minutes before they closed at this point) and as I was leaving one of the workers cat called me IN FRONT OF MY BOYFRIEND. After walking away and forcing my BF to not say anything, the worker chimed in with a classic "byyyyyyye" EXTREMELY RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and what a pig? I'm eating at your establishment and you hit on me in front of my boyfriend?? I gave them a second chance, went to take advantage of their half-off apps for their Monday happy hour. We arrived 30 minutes before the end of happy hour and the waitress tried charging us full price for each because she rang it in a minute after happy hour. We requested a manager and she laughed in our face. The waitress then complained how terrible the managers are, unprofessional. I came here to eat, not to hear about what goes on behind closed doors! The waitress begged for the manager to fix our receipt and she refused, she did not even come to our table! The waitress told us to leave and not pay!! I have never ever witnessed this in a restaurant before.... This was all about a year ago, I have returned twice since then and each time the food is terrible. I ordered lunch to-go today, it took almost an hour and a half to receive and you can tell that the food has been sitting stagnant for quite some time. The fries are cold soggy and not a single piece of salt on the whole thing. I just paid $18 for 5 wings, fries, and garlic bread and it took hours to receive and the food tastes terrible! My work is only 5 minutes away! I don't see how this place has such a high rating, I don't have one good thing to say about the place. If this is a family owned business, then I strongly suggest treating your employees better and hiring a QA to monitor the food the kitchen sends out. $18 I paid when in reality its an old hard loaf of garlic bread, 5 old and fatty chicken wings, and cold soggy and...
Read moreWe have lived in College Park for 2.5 years. When we first moved here, we ordered a pizza at Ragazzi's and were so unimpressed, we never went back or ordered from them again. I've been wanting to go back for their Wednesday wing special though. We did yesterday and now we'll never go back. Here's what happened...
First of all, they don't have any information about the wing special (or any specials for that matter) on their web site. I checked Facebook and didn't see any specials posted for the day. I messaged them and received the info about the wing special, but the person also wrote that I should check their social media for specials information. I did. I didn't find it. That's why I sent them a message.I received a reply with screencaps from 2 weeks ago and posts in April. Anyway, all good - wing special was on and off we went.
We sat at the bar. I ordered a Yeungling draught. It was skunked. I ordered a Fat Tire draught. It was skunked. I switched to bottled Peroni, after being told that the draught menu was out of date and Peroni on draught was not available after all. My wife's Miller Lite draught tasted okay, but Miller Lite has no taste, so that's normal. We ordered 20 wings - 10 each in a different sauce. ...
Over 30 minutes later, the wings arrived. They were overcooked, dry as the bone the meat was clinging to, and surprisingly, lukewarm. Neither plate had much sauce on the wings and not much on the plate to wipe onto the charred fowl. I asked to speak to a manager. The restaurant wasn't busy. There were less than 20 people inside.
Roberto came over and he was very polite. I introduced myself and explained the situation, asking for the food order to be removed from my bill, whilst handing him all the over-fried chicken. He was polite, as was the bartender, Sarah Lynn, who repeatedly apologized for the beer and wing fiasco. It wasn't her fault. She was very accommodating and we appreciated her excellent service and the way she handled the situations.
That's it for us at Ragazzi's. I know some locals love this place. Some loved NYPD Pizza, too, but if you serve bad food, well, that's why NYPD isn't in business any longer. We won't be going to Ragazzi's again. We don't recommend it...

I am bi-weekly customer here and absolutely love their pizza! Well today I was dining there and I see a man in a wheelchair with multiple backpacks trying to enter the establishment so I open the door for him. He very politely asks if I can buy him lunch because it is hot outside and he wanted to sit inside and have something to eat. I respond by saying of course and agree to get him spaghetti. He goes to a table and is approached by a woman who states she`s the owner and asks the man politely to leave because customers were complaining. (I am the only other customer) and I said he is not bothering me. I let her know I was buying his meal. She then asks him to go outside and eat which was very absurd behavior since he was as nice as can be and posed no problems other than he was homeless. She then looks at my shirt and realizes I am a manager at a nearby restaurant and asks if I get this problem often? I asked what the problem was? She asked about homeless people coming in. I said he is a paying customer and was not intoxicated or causing a scene so what exactly was the problem? She said it makes her business look bad. I then expressed it looks worse that she is kicking out a paying customer who happens to be homeless and I would never be back. Also I told her I think she is a terrible person for doing so. I hope this messages meets the right people. Its bad business what they are doing to a human being based on his appearance. I was approached while leaving by a gentleman trying to justify his their actions and I let him know he was also terrible, he tells me they will refund my whole bill because they don't want to accept money from someone like me. I don't wish they run out of business I just hope they correct...
