WOW!! I can't even put into words how amazing this spot is. Usually we spend hours online looking up the best spots to eat, but on this particular day we were hungry and spontaneously spotted Sushi Lola while driving. We made a sharp last minute turn into the plaza. The plaza itself doesn't look like anything special, and because of that we really didn't expect much. However the dining area inside was very beautiful and clean. Currently, as of this writing, they are only seating outside due to COVID-19 restrictions. However this was no issue to us. Our Server, Yong, was an absolute joy to work with. She was fast and attentive, and provided fun conversation as well. When we got our food, I couldn't believe it. Not pictured, the house ginger salad, was easily the best ginger salad I have ever had. The lettuce is just normal iceberg, but the fresh grated ginger dressing on top of it makes you completely forget anything that's going on around you. I mean we really couldn't believe it. Next we got the Korean Dumplings. Insane flavor, texture, and the dipping sauce accompanied with it can really be paired up with just about anything, as I ordered an extra side of it to throw into my Bimbimbap. The Bimbimbap will also go down as best Bimbimbap I have ever had. The hot stone bowl it comes in created a gorgeous rich in color crunchy rice that can be seen when you mash it up. The sushi my boyfriend ordered was clean, fresh, and also full of flavor. At the end of the meal we received our bill with 2 in house soft baked cookies, individually saran wrapped. An absolutely precious finish. I am still in awe over the chef quality food and experience that we were able to have with prices as desirable as theirs. Unfortunately we found them on the last day that we were in town, Or else we would have certainly been here every day. I will 100% be back the next time I am in orlando, and will be telling my friends and family to visit here as well. THANK YOU to the owners and operators of this restaurant for such an amazing experience. We really can not WAIT to come back to explore more items offered on your menu.

Food is so delicious. We went to celebrate our friend's birthday and for apps we ordered Veggie Tempura, Lava Dips, and the Baked Mussels. Our friend is pregnant and they were able to accommodate our request of asking the mussels to baked until cooked through since it's marked as a raw item on the menu. Our favorite was the mussels and lava dips! We got the bulgogi with rice and Korean side dishes and a bunch of cooked rolls, in which they have a good amount of options for rolls that are not marked raw. Our food came out much quicker than I expected, about half the restaurant was filled around 6:30p on a Monday. The bulgogi was really tender and soft, the sides dishes, especially the kimchi we really enjoyed. All the rolls were delicious too, I forgot which ones we picked. At the end they give everyone a choco chip cookie which was a nice touch. A few things to consider is that the tables are pretty close to each other so when it gets busy inside the space gets tight and loud, but that didn't bother us. The space is small so it's good they tried to fit in what they can. Where we sat the a/c was blasting on us so it got kinda cold and made the food get cold much faster. Bring a jacket when you go. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Will definitely be back. I recommend going early before the dinner rush to get a good parking spot since the parking lot is limited and shared with other stores.

Haven't been back in a while, so figured I'd re-review. I've always liked the quality and taste of their sushi, which is the most important factor for a 寿司屋. Quality and taste of sushi is still great! Wednesday Roll is fantastic! Squid salad is bigger than I thought it would be. Salmon was fresh and large piece for nigiri. Spicy hamachi roll was indeed spicy. They don't have tamago (egg), surprisingly. They always seem to have a few special things on the boards which is nice. It's still a little expensive for me, like a dollar or two more per item than I think it should be... but then everything is so expensive these days that I honestly can't tell. Same people running the show. Korean owned; they even have a page of Korean food on their menu, which I'm sure is good. Clean and simple but also nice inside. More than enough space for atypical hours, but during peak hours it gets crowded quickly and you may not be able to get in without a wait. They have Ramune in various flavors. They also have Eto-en bottle drinks, like oolong and jasmine, but no green tea flavor surprisingly. They have a few tiny tables outside if the weather is good you could eat at with one or two people each. 2018: Tasty sushi and apps, good tea, good service, good drinks. Seating inside and a few tables outside. Nice people. A little pricey.

So I have been to Sushi Lola's several times, both in their old space and in their new, updated space, and I have never been satisfied with any of my visits. It was recommended to me originally by several different people who live in the area, but it's only redeeming quality is that it is close to where they live if they don't want to venture out.

My latest experience will definitely be my last. Their new space is bigger, and the decor has been updated nicely, but the chandelier that they have by the door does not match anything else; it is too bright if you are seated facing it, and the shadows that it casts make the walls and blinds look dirty. Also with the new decor did not come new dishes, which is fine, but if you seat me at a nice table in a nice chair with a cloth napkin, don't serve my drinks to me in a clear plastic tumbler with green and purple dots on it from Target. The tables are also just as close together now in their bigger space as they were before in the old, smaller space.

While we were seated promptly and given menus, the server took about 5 minutes to bring us drinks, and he did not ask us what we wanted before or after he brought them, only brought us water. When we were finally able to order, the food was brought out faster than it has been in the past, but it was very disappointing. I ordered a tempura roll that was rolled so loosely, it just fell apart when I tried to pick a piece of it up. My other roll was an avocado roll, and the avocado was so ripe that it was just mush, and whoever cut the roll did not wash their knife between cuts, so the roll was covered in smeared avocado where it was cut, it was not pretty.

We also ordered a beef teriyaki bento box; the beef was bland, and while it had a good sauce to dip it in, there wasn't enough of the sauce for all of the beef. The sides were decent, but they were your standard deep-fried fare (tempura vegetables, spring roll, white rice).

Overall with the experiences that I have had I can't say that there is any reason for me to return to Sushi Lola's, and I don't understand why people continue to list this on their top sushi...

My family and I went to this restaurant because we saw the great reviews online, but unfortunately, it was not as reviewed. The food was okay - 6/10. You can get better dishes, meals, and services elsewhere. The reasons why I leave this negative review was because of the rudeness my family and I encountered with a waitress. I hope no one else have to deal with this negative experience if you consider this message. First of, when we were first seated, the waitress (an older Korean lady) was rudely passing out the plates to my elderly parents whom my wife and I were treating after not seeing them for almost two years. While sitting down she aggressively and repeatedly said "pass the plates down!" to my parents as they were trying to sit down. Again, in a rude, aggressive, and uninviting manner she said this. Secondly, before we ordered, I asked for the bill to be split into two checks, although they were going to be paid with the same card (we keep a meticulous balance and record since we do not have much money) and when it was time to pay she gave us one bill. When I asked if she could give us two checks, she gave me an attitude and scolded me as to why I didn't tell her to do two different paid outs with the same card, although I did. She came back twice to tell me this after giving me the two checks. This attitude and level of service would not happen in Korea, her home country, if this took place there. I know this because I lived in Korea and my wife is Korean. My wife and I did not engaged her because I was with my parents and did not want to make an uncomfortable scene for all of us. I am someone's child and should not be treated in a poor manner in front of my parents, as no one else's child should be treated poorly in front of their parents nor parents should watch their child be treated rudely or treated rudely themselves. Additionally, no elderly people should be treated in a rush or disrespectf. Once again, I type this review for others to avoid the poor service and average tasting food here. You can find better food and service somewhere else. Please consider avoiding my negative experience at...
