Every time i come to this wawa, i have to wait forever for my food. I understand if there's a lunch rush that cause's the wait time to extend, but when you have just two people in front of you that ordered only one or two things, it should take 4-8 minutes to make the food, i would know cause i worked for wawa for 3 years. I stopped ordering food from this wawa for that reason and just stick with buying snacks and gas. register crew is great! always nice and quick, so the stars are for them. 3 stars off for the kitchen and beverage area. i ordered a drink today (just 1 simple drink) and literally watched two females standing, talking and playing with their phones for the whole 3-5 minutes as i see my order turn yellow to red. they noticed me looking at them and proceeded their conversation till i had to walk up to them and ask if i needed to cancel my order, since their conversation seemed too important then making the customers drinks and not care if we have to go back to work! it made me really upset to see people not do their jobs when customers only have a small limit of time to gather and eat their food. so please management on the shift between 2-5pm, please tell your crew to stop playing with their phones and focus on work. play time is for their 15/30 min lunch break, not in the kitchen. I dont even know if they changed their gloves after touching their phones. oh...
Read moreso i work at the mental health facility up the road and I go here a lot I certainly spend a lot of money here on food and drinks. so I grab some of the saltines they have out for my pregnant clients they are in front of the deli area with the ketchup packets there is no price listed there is also no limit posted.. I literally go here every night on my break and I spend at least 5 bucks usually more. I went to the register to pay one night and the cashier said to me my manger told me to tell you that you can take the saltine crackers I said oh ok well ill pay for them I take them to my pregnant clients im sorry ive always grabbed a few as im a nurse( I am always wearing my nursing scrubs and my badge) she said oh they aren't for sale they are free for paying customers I kind of looked at her as I PAID for my food and drink. I was utterly embarrassed as there was a line of people behind me I walked out in tears and my fiancé was with me and once he calmed me down he said some people are just nasty. So with that said I now go to the WaWa up the road on edgewater every night and they have no issue with me grabbing saltines. just wat to add that I work overnights so im always in around 2am so I cant say how the...
Read moreI admit, I haven't been Wawa's biggest fan. I find them crowded and checkout is often an eternity. This visit might have won me back. Wawa does coffee better than any convenience store. I think that's a fact everyone can agree on. It's not just great coffee, it's the layout and fixin's offered in plentiful amounts. I think the prices have climbed in the last year and there hasn't been any major value adds for the increases. My 24oz cofee was just under $2. I feel like I used to pay 25% less for it. The coffee area was clean and mostly stocked, but everything was running low. I ordered a hoagie breakfast roll and went to pay for it and my coffee. By the time I returned, it was ready. There were 2 check-out lanes open but they moved very slowly. Not so much because of the staff, but the large number of cash paying customers who simply weren't ready to pay. The store inside and out was mostly clean. You can't expect too much at 9am when the morning rush is just concluding.
I'd love to be able to pay for BOTH my coffee and sandwich in the app and never have to stand in line. However, we live in a day where theft is a problem, so I understand...
