If I could have given zero Stars I definitely would. So everyone knows Central Florida YMCAs require you to sign up for classes in the app correct? I signed my kids up for the kids zone made sure I knew the time and that they were the appropriate age. I signed them up 6 hours ahead of time at that so we get here and the manager says oh there is no 5:30 class. So I show her my phone where I signed up for the 5:30 class all she says is that shouldn't be there. Okay well that's not my fault that it shouldn't be there why can't my kids go in there and play. So she says there's a 6:30 class I said okay but we can't attend that I signed up for what was available. She's like well that doesn't exist. I say I understand that but it existed when I signed up for it and nobody gave me the courtesy of calling because they have to check the app to see how many people are attending their class. I asked for a manager she said she was the manager. So I look at the 6:30 class and guess what there is absolutely not one child signed up for the 6:30 class. Don't tell me you couldn't have let my kids play in Studio C while there was an attendant over there and we drove over 30 minutes to get here. The manager with a crooked I needs to go. I will not return here until she is gone. There's no way we pay Max for a 6-person family membership to get treated that way. And don't you dare respond by saying give us a call because no one answers...

My first visit to this YMCA was Wed, 4-2-25. It is an absolutely beautiful facility. Did not know about this Y Until Michele Marone (formerly of the Dr. Phillips YMCA) joined their fabulous staff. Among her other duties, she has brought Zumba classes to this YMCA. She is absolutely the best and most inspirational Zumba teacher ever! She is the reason I am now a happy member of the Leonard and Marjorie Williams family YMCA. I also take classes at Palm Beach State College in West Palm Beach when I am in South Florida so when I say she is the best ever, please believe me. Again, the facility is lovely and the rooms that we take Zumba are lined with floor to ceiling ceiling windows, so the atmosphere is fantastic. The rest of the staff that I interacted with on my first Day were so very nice and welcoming. And, it is so easy to find. At first, I was kind of worried about the distance from my house in Windermere but it only took 22 minutes. Michele is currently teaching two Zumba classes… Wednesday and Friday… At 10:45 AM. So if you want to have a wonderful time while you are exercising, I strongly encourage you to come to this Y and take one of her classes. It's brand new, what to ask for in a gym; discipline and a regiment of luxury along with the great community of the Cannery surrounding the area. Swimming for the kids, that are a treasure.
