Must-Visit for Authentic Argentinian Cuisine!
We’ve been proud supporters of this amazing family since their early days operating food trucks all across Central Florida. Back then, no matter where they popped up—from events to parking lots—they always brought the same incredible flavors, warm hospitality, and a sense of community. So when we were passing through on our way from St. Augustine, we knew we had to make a special stop in Ormond Beach to visit their brick-and-mortar location. And let me tell you—it did not disappoint!
Though the restaurant has been open for some time, this was our first visit, and it felt like coming home. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the same heart and soul that made us fall in love with their food in the first place. But now, they’ve taken it up a notch: the menu has grown, with even more mouthwatering options that showcase their Argentinian roots, and every single dish is crafted with care and authenticity.
We happened to visit on Father's Day, and they had a fantastic special going on that just added to the experience. The staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely happy to be there. What really made our day was when Junior came out to greet us. He immediately recognized us from their food truck days and took the time to chat and thank us for our continued support. It meant a lot—especially in a world where customer service can feel transactional, this felt personal.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Rich, flavorful meats, perfectly cooked empanadas, chimichurri that hits just right, and generous portions all around. The quality has never wavered; if anything, it’s gotten even better with the move to a full kitchen.
Whether you're local to the Ormond Beach area, just passing through, or even a couple of hours away, this spot is worth the trip. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a celebration of culture, family, and passion for great food.
If I could give them more than five stars, I absolutely would. We’ll be back...
Read moreExcellent, excellent, excellent! We were welcomed with a smile the second we walked in. Seat yourself. Our server was also from Miami, like us! She was very personable and sweet. The inside is very cute, love the atmosphere. Without even knowing it, we were able to stay to hear some live latin music, Javier Carballido was awesome! It started to get busier in time for the live music, so if you plan on coming for the music I suggest arriving a bit earlier! My family is originally from Miami so it is like a little taste of home. Will definitely be back many times! We had: Loaded Tostones - So good! The tostones were on the softer side, don't expect crispy! I thought they were perfect, especially if you'll be cutting and sharing. Empanadas, 3 for $10 - The portobello mushroom and provolone cheese special was to die for. We got 2 of those and the spicy chorizo empanada which was also very good. Cuban Sandwich Special w/ garlic parmesan fries - Yum!!! Currasco w/ yuca fries - Came with garlic aoli, delicious. Steak Rice Bowl - White rice, black beans, and plantains. So good! Panqueque (dessert) - Very very good, only had a small bite because I was full from everything else! Sangria Slushie - So sweet, dangerously delicious. We tried 3 sacues which were all great. I could've drank a bowl of the chimichurri sauce. The garlic aoli was also really really yummy. If you like spicy, the homemade jalapeno hot sauce was kicking and...
Read moreSo wonderfully pleased with this place after wanting to try it for a few months! Food was so flavorful and delicious, seasoned to perfection and great portion sizes. The empanadas were filled up and flaky - we tried almost all flavors and everyone seemed to love them (I had the chicken and it was so good with the garlic sauce and chimichurri )! Highly recommend them as well as the Tostadas appetizer (didn't get a photo).
I got the garlic salmon that was tender, flaky, and had a divine crispy salmon skin that places never seem to get right.. but Tangos did. The veggies side was also great. Others got the rice bowls and loved them, plus went home with leftovers. The steak sandwich with yuca fries was a hit. Their chimichurri sauce is delish on pretty much everything. Dessert was the perfect end - we tried the flan, panqueque, and alfajores. Although they weren't bad by any means, I'd say the only thing to not write home about it is probably the alfajores (maybe just due to having made them traditionally at home for years).
Service was prompt, thoughtful, friendly, and helpful with any questions. Love the atmosphere and vibe. Very chill, clean, enjoyed the jazzy lounge music playing. Fun to see they have Latin music nights a couple of times a month, which I'm sure is a more upbeat opportunity to hang out and have good food. Will definitely be returning...
