[ad] Two amenities that really shine at the El Conquistador Resort in Tucson are the pools and dining. If there’s a water slide, our kids are happy! They must have gone down over 2 dozen times, if not more. Next to the waterslide pool is a smaller pool perfect for toddlers with zero depth entry, and a couple of fountains. One other pool and a hot tub complete the water amenities, and there’s poolside service for snacks and drinks. Our family was perfectly content here for hours! The on-site dining was also a top favorite from our visit. Epazote Kitchen offered an amazing variety of appetizers and entrees; the pollo nachos and flat iron steak were our favorites, with the pork tenderloin a close second. Kid favorites are also available and don’t forget dessert! The melt in your mouth donut bites will please everyone. Breakfast at the Sundance Cafe is more casual, band offers a buffet option, or familiar options from a menu. Make your own omelet, or get the Conquistador Burrito. The kids devoured the apple pancakes! Pair this with coffee or juice, and you have a great start to your day. Bookmark the @hiltonelcon and make it your next family weekend destination! We had such a fun and relaxing stay, and know you will as well.

So far I've eaten lunch here twice and both times I have been thoroughly impressed by the food and the service! The quesadilla is super good and just has enough kick to be tasty but not so spicy your nose runs.... lol the poblano peppers are cooked to perfection and the pico de Gallo is delicious! Today I had the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries and I couldn't even finish it! The bread was soft and the caramelized onions gave it a really nice touch!

Very relaxed atmosphere with the staff looking to make your day a pleasure. The southwest omelete I had cooked to order was great, complete with quacamole. The Hilton Diamond paid for ($15) half of the buffet cost but it was still a good. The coffee was even very good. With the mountain and resort views in your sights, this makes a very relaxing breakfast. Now on my way to Saguaro National Park and Pima air and space museum.

I was surprised how little attention was placed on customer service. Our server, Edgardo, didn’t come by to give us water refills and didn’t really seem to pay much attention to his tables. Upon receiving our check, we waited 20 minutes for our card to be taken. I ended up having to leave my table to find Edgardo and I asked him, “would I be able to leave my payment with you?” To which he responded, “Yeah, give it to your server.”

It wasn’t until I just stood there a bit confused that he realized that he was my server and took my card. I was shocked he had tried to dismiss me when I asked for his help.

Overall, not worth the visit. I highly recommend trying another place.

Food off the menu was decent. The buffet looked like something you would find at a...

As much as I loved everything about El Conquistador, this place was a joke. We we're actually laughing about how terrible it was. When we sat down, two waiters somewhat argued about who was going to take the table and who was going to go on break. I felt like a bother, just trying to get breakfast. The food was no more exciting than any other pretty standard hotel breakfast buffet, except quite expensive. We chose to opt out of the buffet and order from the menu. The food all came out cold. The bloody Mary had zero garnishing and was bland. The oatmeal was soupy, cold and brown sugar was not even offered. It had to...

Great value, $24 for adults all you can eat buffet ($12 for kids). It has a made-to-order omelette bar, all kinds of great options including pozole. Yogurt parfait and berry station, even had w custom juices (a green one and orange/cantaloupe one). Honestly a lot better than I would have expected. Our server was awesome about being mindful of budget and told us some hacks on the menu. We felt like family, excellent dining experience! Gino took great care of us…...
