Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Orwell

Orwell Dairy Queen is literally the MOST disappointing place EVER. They seem to ONLY hire young children which wouldn't be so bad if they had any clue as to what they were doing. It is the longest wait I've ever waited for. Not "fast" food. I ordered a chicken strip basket last time and I had to drive all the way back there after I had gone home and sat at the table in attempt to eat it. There was spoonfuls of OIL in my box and all over the fries. It was horrible.. They REFUSE to serve blizzards upside down, probably because it would all come pouring out as their blizzards are horribly thin and drippy. The things I've watched employees do in that kitchen is pretty baffling. I really suggest you save your money and go ANYWHERE but here. The service here is horrible. When we walked in after a little league game, we were told that we had to go outside "because all teams have to use the outside window". We were already first in line at the ordering line (and it was close to 90 degrees and muggy). We did not understand why we had to go outside. So, we all filed outside and had to wait a bit for somebody come to the outside window. Then, we were asked "what can each team member order?" We said that we were not ordering or paying as a team. Then, we were told "well, I didn't know that." Well, frankly, the person did not ask and made an assumption. We were told that we needed to go back inside and, because of all the shenanigans, we had lost our spot in line. No apology was offered, but we did receive a lot of attitude. My advice? Awful, I absolutely hate this Dairy Queen for so many reasons.

Extremely slow, like snail pace. So slow that your ice cream is ALWAYS melted. I have seen the workers just stand there while only some of their workers do all of the work. The atmosphere and service are terrible. On multiple occasions I’ve seen the manager yell and scream at the workers and the employees constantly argue over mess ups. No wonder they are so understaffed everyone tells everyone and their brother to never work there. The worker always get to angry and frustrated and they give dirty looks for no reason. They cant assemble their food right. Sause and tossed baskets should ALWAYS COME WITH FORKS!!!! My poor friends have to eat with their hands and it’s gross. They always forget the sauce and is it so hard to get baskets for your chicken strips...
