Arby's — Restaurant in Osage Beach

Husband & I stopped in specifically to get the new sandwich advertised, Angus Steak & Cheese. There were 3 cars in the drive-up waiting to be served. We decided to go inside to order. It was totally dead. Some of the lights were out in the dining area. We were the only 2 people there. Walking up to the counter, there was no one there..just at the drive up window & 3-4 in the kitchen. A young girl appeared asking if we knew what we wanted. We told her we wanted 2 of the new sandwiches they advertised. She spoke quietly (seemed to be extremely shy), saying "We're out of that sandwich." Disappointed, we chose 2 other sandwiches & fries. She then told us they only accept cash inside; if we wanted to pay any other way, we'd have to go through the drive up. what? Then she asked, "What name can I put on the order?" really? Hello! We're the only customer here I smiled and provided my name. She gave me the total so quietly, all I heard was it came up to $16 + change. I handed her a $20. She placed it in the drawer..looked confused & hollered to the kid at the drive thru window "I don't have any $1s...I need $1s!". He answered, "We don't have any." She looked at me saying, "I don't know what to do..." Meanwhile, my husband & found a $5 +2 singles. I handed it to her, but she was so flustered, she had no idea what to do next. I slowly explained, "the total is $16+ change, right? She nodded. Ok. I gave you a total of $27. You need to give me $10 plus change back. She slowly took a $10 out of the drawer, handing it to me while sliding the drawer shut, staring at me. I said, "..and change? You said it was $16 + change. You have $17. I need the change." She asked, "How much?". I answered, "I have no idea. Don't you have the total there on the register?". "No" she answered. "It goes away after I send the order back." Oh, Lordy "Ok...how about a receipt? Do you have one of those?" Her eyes scanned the counter, she spied the receipt sticking out of a machine on her left & handed it to me proudly. Order total: $16.97. "You owe me $.03". LOL ...but wait! There's more: while waiting much too long for our order, I asked for a couple packets of "Horsey Sauce" for our beef sandwiches -- "Sorry, we don't have any. We're out of those." She walked over to the frier, pulled out some curly fries, placed them in the paper envelope & set them beside the frier--still waiting for our order. Finally it was ready. I looked in the bag: sandwiches? Check. Fries? Nope. "Our fries are missing" I said. She looked confused, checked the bag, then looked around behind her. "I believe they're over by the frier where you put them earlier?". She put them in the bag & we left. No "thank you" "appreciate your coming in" "good night". Nothing. The sandwiches were mediocre at best. They were tepid, not warm, the fries were few, overcooked & barely warm. I wondered if the kid who told her they were out of $1s had eaten some because he was standing there then. LOL This happened on July 02, at 6pm. The Lake area was getting busy in anticipation of the 4th. A Culver's next door had a full parking lot with lots of happy customers. I knew the moment we went inside Arby's, there must be a problem. I used to work for a large food purveyor & saw all the signs that this store is about to go under: inept employees, out of product, lights off in the dining area, homemade signs taped to the counter saying...

Purchased 1 Reuben sandwich, a Roast beef and Swiss with dip meal, and wanted to try the new brown sugar BLT. This order was at 11pm after work, an hour before close and what I received was an atrocity.

It started with a young male the answered the drive thru as if he were trying out to be a voice actor but sounded dumb and thought he was funny. To paying for the meal and telling me to pull forward even though there were no other vehicles in drive thru. Then after waiting for 7-8 minutes he brought the food out (2 bags, 1 with food the other with au jous dip) gripping both in 1 hand and almost dropping the food when handing it to me abruptly.

The fries were cold, not room temperature but actually cold. The roast beef sandwich had a tiny portion of meat on one half and the majority on the other side (I can deal with that though annoying), the Reuben was okay but the BLT was disgusting. The brown sugar was not cooked on it was like the threw it on as if it were ketchup. It was extremely stale bacon and wilting lettuce.

I understand that it is fast-food but the fact that any business would allow this kind of behavior and product to leave their store is embarrassing. I honestly hope this branch closes so that a business that cares about their products and services can open up. If kids are going to be allowed to work late shift then make sure a Manger is there to babysit them. If there was a manager there, they should be replaced as this behavior and service...

I definitely wouldn't recommend this Arbys to anyone. I've read some of the reviews and none of the reviews Ive read had anything good to say to change my opinion on this store. Today we've been sent to this store twice to pick up a order for a customer. Both times the directions to the store sent us to linn creek to the Koa place there on 54 saying that's where the store was located. Yes we should have been paying more attention to the fact that the directions was wrong but still Google maps shouldn't be telling us that this Arbys store is located where it sent us when it's located in osage beach. Both times we made it to pick up orders the bags wasn't closed properly they are supposed to be closed and have the stickers holding them shut every order weve picked for every other place we've been sent to hasn't been like this so this part of these employees jobs shouldn't be that hard. Then the first order we picked up we was supposed to be sent towards like sunrise beach and it had us going in circles in the middle of camdenton instead. Both earlier today and just a little bit ago tonight as soon as you walk in the building it smells horrible. Like to be honest smells like they used the same mop they used to clean the bathrooms they used on the rest of the store. I was going to use they're bathroom until I went in and it was obvious the bathroom hadn't been cleaned and if it had it hadn't been done properly because the...
