Went in on a Thursday night with 3 other tables there when we arrived. (In other words, not busy.) When our server eventually made it to the table, he asked what we wanted without bothering to mention any specials, which we only knew about because the other table was talking about them. We proceeded to get our meal and it was the first time I've ever seen my husband send something back. The flatiron steak was raw and literally cold in the middle. (I had the same meal and my mine was cooked medium rare as I asked, in the interest of fairness. The meat itself was tough.) The server returned to our table after we asked the runner to warm up the raw steak and said "So somebody doesn't like their food?" No, more like somebody doesn't want to end up with food poisoning, thanks. The vegetables were like the steamed frozen vegetables you got in the school cafeteria. In all honesty, the best thing I had was here blue cheese dressing. This place and it's decor reminded me of going to the Beefcarver with my Nana. It's one of the only games in town but I'd still recommend...

The atmosphere and service though was not what I wanted from a restaurant. The employees were too familiar with us to the point that I felt uncomfortable, though I assume it's just out of a misguided attempt to be overly friendly. When we came for lunch, the place was completely empty and we were the only diners. This combined with the complete lack of any music or ambiance left me feeling reticent to talk and it creeped me out. That was not helped by the eventual addition of Victorian style music playing from right behind us. Overall, the food was good, but the place creeped me the hell out. I thought someone was going to walk out of the backroom with an axe for half the experience. I wouldn't go again, but it would probably be better during a...
Read moreIt was good, fine enough. I ordered the lake Perch and my wife got the steak. The steak was delicious, but a little over done. I got the special soup they have, I forget the name, but it's bean soup mixed with cheese soup, it's really good, I like it a lot. My wife got the lobster bisque which was also excellent, but a little rich to eat a whole bowl of so I'm glad we got a cup.
My Perch was overcooked, just a bit too dry and flavorless. The decor is very dated, and the hairdo of our waitress was interesting to say the least. Also it was a bit overpriced for what it is I think. Is it good? Yeah. Is it 5 star good like it's priced? In my opinion, not quite. I'd still come again, it's good don't get me wrong, but it's not what I expected and I think they could do with some updating of the building, and reworking the...
