I'll begin by saying I had high hopes for this new beginning. I was a regular patron of the former(Durangos). The food ...delicious. the service.... great. The staff..... very able to deliver the same experience at every visit. Even wi t h carryout, never a problem. This evening,(05-29-22) I had the most disappointing experience. I've always ordered the same dish everytime I dine in or carryout. The name on the marquis is different and there are new staff and the dining area is fresh and rearranged but the food I received was well below the caliber of expectations. Does the kitchen staff even know their own menu? I think there are some major shortfalls here. Not only was the menu description and picture (a picture mind you) different from what I received but I didn't get the meal I ordered(even with a picture for the staff to compare to) AND upon getting the problem addressed and corrected, they sent me ......THE SAME THING AS THE FIRST! I got items I DID NOT request and nothing resembling what I ordered FROM THE MENU WITH THE PICTURES ON IT! Needless to say, I am so very disappointed and I don't think any part of my order was complicated. It breaks my heart to witness the downfall of hospitality and foodservice that I've experienced in a much better light than the experience I had today. With regret and a very apprehensive "next time", I will no longer be a patron of this establishment and I further warn the public to be wary anywhere of dining out as we...
Read moreThe person who waited us was very friendly but then after that the service really slowed down. I liked the chips and tortilla chips we got when we first sat down. I thought the large custom booths and the tables unique.
I just ordered a beef chimichanga and I might have read the menu incorrectly, which I couldn’t find a online, but I was expecting the white cheese sauce on it instead of a red sauce. I will say it was a lot larger than the ones I normally get. I wasn’t super happy about the sauce but I figured I already had the food so I would eat it anyways. I started on the side that didn’t have the red sauce and worked my way to it.
But inside the chimichanga was very different than I’ve ever had in Mexican food and I didn’t really like it. I kind of assumed that chimichangas were very similar but I guess this one was not. The inside of my chimichanga had onions in with the ground beef reminding me more of a pastie than a chimichanga. Then one I had gotten to about the middle all of a sudden there was a large section of cheese added as a larger near the tortilla. I was so confused. I did not like this style of chimichanga at all. I didn’t even bring it home. And honestly the more I ate it the more I felt like it grossed me out because I just wasn’t expecting this at all. If I would have been more aware this is what I was getting I would have ordered something else or went to a different restaurant. The beans were fine but the rice was dry. I...
Read moreThe food was terrible. The meat inside a chimichanga was terrible and the steak for the steak fajita was very chewy and fatty. The steak fajita was not seasoned very well and the corn tortillas was very wet. The margarita was very liquidy and it was not premix the waitress had to mix the flavors in it. The TV was on so loud with Mexican music. It wasn't even a variety of Music it was a DJ standing in one place playing different Mexican music. I noticed the waitress went to turn it up even more. The waitress had looked and had an attitude as if she was forced to do her job in a very unpleasant manner. Then she gave us the wrong change back. Our meal came up to approximately $48 we gave her $100 bill and she gave us $60 and some change back. This was on a Monday evening. There were other customer coming in and I wanted to tell them to go away it's not worth eating here. But we still tip the waitress more than sufficient and said thank you and on our way. What I had left over I brought it home for my...
