My husband and I were blown away from the moment we walked in, from the individual greetings, we both recieved from the gentleman man behind the counter, to how clean and well kept the store was! There were two people in front of us and one lady behind us, the same gentleman that greeted us, seen the line was getting long, he was quick to step in and take orders! My husband and I never before going to a firehouse subs, had to step out of line, to review the menu. When we finally decided on what we were going to eat, the young lady was smiling, friendly and ready to take our order! As we finished and we're waiting at the end of the counter for our food, The same gentleman that greeted us and was quick to stand in and take orders, when the line was getting long, was also then gentleman whom handed us our order. Not before letting us know about the restaurant, and where the donations collected go! The information was exciting and also wonderful to hear in today's world! As I was leaving i looked at his name tag, thinking he had to be a team leader or manager, however I was pleasantly surprised to see it was the owner himself, being a team player! Not one employee was crabby or rude, it was a wonderful out of the blue stop! A place I will definitely be...
Read moreI ordered two firehouse Salads a takeout order went back to my room gave one to my wife and one for myself we And the only thing in my salad was lettuce and Turkey both salads there was no vegetables and I paid for extra mozzarella cheese and that wasn’t even on it. I took a picture of it called the store back. The general manager never called me back. I called him today and I was told that I complained before, but I was only in the store last week one time, and I never complained of what we got, but he started yelling at me and telling I’m in the wrong because he had his best people. I am a first responder. I told him I was treated like crap and nothing was done about it. The general manager had a bad attitude said he wasn’t gonna do nothing about it and I took pictures of the salad before we ate it and there was nothing in it but lettuce and Turkey that is the worst management I’ve seen and heard from in my lifetime and I eat at firehouse subs five times a week and I’ve never been treated like this before being a first responder. I am a retired firefighter from Massachusetts management in the store and he said he wasn’t going to do nothing about it when I had pictures. I will never eat at that store again it’s on S.Kohler...
Read moreI don't normally give such a low rating. The food was just OK. The staff is required to say "welcome to firehouse subs" each time a customer comes in the door. The greeting was said with such unenthused voices - my son said they sounded dead inside. Better to have no greeting to than be forced to say anything. Made you wonder if they disliked working there so much how was the food going to taste. We ordered the chicken and dumpling soup as our side. The container was only 1/2 full. When I questioned it I was told no that is the bowl size not the cup size. Very disappointing. But maybe it was good that we got such a small amount because it was TERRIBLE! It tasted like plastic - like it had been put into a plastic bag when it was hot then sealed tight which made it take on the flavor of the bag! My son worked at one of the better restaurants in Oshkosh and he tasted it and said yeah he got that same flavor and it didn't really taste like chicken. Avoid the soup if you go. might try a different location for the sandwich but never...
