We were quoted approximately $380.00 for a 1year old bday party. Pricey we thought but worth it for this special guy. (Possibly 40 ppl but 30ish were 1-3 yr olds.) We arrived about 12:45 for a 1pm party. We were not given access to the party room until 124pm. They took our initial order, brought it to our party room w/soda & water pitchers. Never ONCE did a staff member ck on us during the entire party. Nor were we able to order our remaining pizzas. When it was time to pay our bill it was $300 more after our original deposit!!!!Yes there were about 4 additional vodka sours added to the bill. We anticipated some additional charges there. NP. The cake was not included yet they charged for one. Huh? (we brought our own from Dairy Queen) After shock set in & within minutes we questioned the bill which we had to view on the monitor and couldn’t be printed on paper receipt bcuz there was no print paper available. In addition 18% gratuity was added to the bill which came to roughly $110 We had cleared the room by 3pm. Let me rephrase: we cleaned the room by 3pm as we anxiously waited for our DQ ice cream cake. (Keep in mind we’ve got almost 30 kids under 3) I can not understand how you could misquote someone by nearly $300. This is simply not acceptable at all. Completely unprofessional and unorganized from the moment we arrived. I encourage anyone considering a party here to reconsider!!!!! I can not imagine how this experience could’ve been worse!!! It’s not even possible. This is just not o.k. We hadn’t even received our “original contract of party inclusions.” After less then 2 hrs we were asked to leave or we would’ve had to pay for additional time. (We were still waiting for our cake from the cooler) Huh, so we were let in 24 min late, did not receive what we paid for, we completely cleaned the room & still we asked/waited easily 15 min for delivery of our cake so we could finalize the party. We were just at the 2 hour time limit and once the bill came, we were flabbergasted! $$$$ we asked “please explain the several HUNDRED $ difference”. The server couldn’t explain the difference in price. Nor could the manager! Essentially we paid for a small room, tokens, soda & a few pizzas. Lol, for 1yr olds bday party made up by primarily 1-3 year olds. $300 after the original $280 down payment. The bill certainly reflected the 18% gratuity that was tacked on! Omgosh, tip of almost $120. For what? Bringing sub par pizza $ soda? Wow! We attempted to find resolution or understanding of how such a price difference could occur w/ a manager especially since they hadn’t even fulfilled our contractional allotment. After 20 min of standing at the counter we finally just paid & left. Family from as far as Minneapolis, MN came for this celebration. It was an absolute embarassment leaving everyone shaking their heads! Mineshaft? We got the shaft!Yes YOU should b ashamed!!! I pray u become better. This entire experience left a proud mom & dad retreating defeated. They saved for this party. They did everything within their power to make it an exceptional experience to compliment an amazing child. I will FOREVER tell this story to anyone who...
Read moreWe came here for a birthday dinner. Initially, we had to wait a while to be seated which was fine as it was a Saturday and very busy. Once we were seated, the problems started. We initially had a female server who asked us twice within a few minutes if we were ready to order which we were not. After the second time she asked, she never came back. She had taken our drink orders and those never came. After about 40m of sitting and waiting, a new server approached us and introduced himself as Adam P. and asked to take our order. We said we'd like drinks since they never came. He took our drink order and our food order. Another 15 minutes goes by and my father stopped him as he was walking by and asked where the drinks where. He said he would get them. They never came. Another 15-20m goes by, and he comes back and asks us to take our food order again. We were astounded. We told him you already took our food order but we have been waiting over an hour for drinks. He said he would get them. Mind you, every time he had stopped he dropped off a stack of napkins to each of us for some reason. After ANOTHER 15m, he finally brings the drinks. He then proceeds to ask us AGAIN about taking our food order. I looked at him and asked if everything was alright. The whole time he was serving us, his eyes were slits and he couldn't remember anything we told him and he was stumbling on his words and we knew full well he was completely high on something. After we get our food and he keeps bringing napkins, he brings us all the wrong drink refills after he JUST asked us. Finally I had had enough. I went to the bar and asked to talk to somebody about our server. Another female server said that's the manager there but I can take care of it. I tell her our server is high as a kite and he has no business working like that. She says "I'll talk to him". She actually did go and talk to him, but instead of getting us a new server, she points us out and sends him back over! What in the world??? You allow your workers to be high on lord knows what and continue serving customers? What exactly is "talking to him" gonna do? The entire experience was extremely poor and we spent almost 3 hours there for a basic dinner! The food came out with a crust on it from sitting under the heat lamps so long and it was dry and flavorless. This was our first time here and will be our last. I've already told a few friends how terrible it was and recommended they spend their hard earned money elsewhere.
Terrible service, terrible...
Read moreI really wanted last night to be fun. Since my husband works during the week in Oshkosh he decided get off early and our 7 year old and I would go meet him down there for our valentines dinner and fun. My husband ordered the burger and fries my daughter got the kids grilled cheese and I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and the fish tacos with corn tortillas. My soup was brought out first then our daughters dinner and my husbands dinner. I had waited until they had been half way done with their dinner before I realized that maybe my dinner was not coming out. According to our first server she was being cut and was handing our check over to a new server. After my husband and our daughter’s food was dropped off the server did not come back by us. I had to flag down another employee and ask about my meal. She went and got our server and she said that it was never on the check but that she would get it in for me. I was fine with that. Another gentleman walked by and asked if I was the one who ordered the fish tacos I said yes and he said they would get that right up. At this time my husband was done with his dinner and our daughter was finished with hers. Our server came back up to our table and asked if I still wanted the fish tacos because they were never put in on the order. I was confused because I had told 3 people already that worked there that I was waiting for my dinner. Finally she brought them out in a to go box in a flour tortilla. That was not what I ordered to begin with. She dropped the check off and walks away. She did not return until I went up to the bartender and asked where do I pay the bill? Needless to say we got the wrong lemonade never ate the fish tacos because who eats fish tacos to go? Especially after the plan was to play in the arcade. I was giving this place another shot after attending a birthday party there and was not impressed with the service. I work in the same business and I do not ever make reviews. Nothing was done to reassure us that this would not...
