Am a fan of the Appleton location. This wasn't great but, they just opened and I'm sure they will get better. Food was of similar quality to Appleton. The tempura was a bit better, the catfish was a bit undercooked. The service was a bit rough. I was seated quickly but in a middle table (when everything else was wide open) facing a television playing a news network show that I wouldn't normally watch but, it was on mute so not a huge issue. Another table was seated to my left. My waiter came and took my order. A while later, their waitress came and took their order and they commented what I'd ordered sounded good and copied my order. A couple minutes later, their orders arrived. About 10 minutes later I received what I ordered. My waiter didn't return for another 15 minutes. I got a refill of water and ordered additional items. The table next to me again copied for their third order (they had one between my two). Once again, their items arrived ahead of mine. The waiter returned and asked if I wanted anything else and I indicated the second order have never arrived. He said he'd go look into it. One of the three items arrived about 10 minutes after that. I gave up on the other two items or the waiter returning and went to the front to pay. I was (still am) thrilled to have a sushi restaurant near me but my first visit wasn't great. I'll give it another try and see if they have the service side a...
Read moreI'm gonna say straight out that I don't eat sushi....but my wife loves it so we came here for her birthday. I am still rating 5 stars because even though I don't eat sushi they had plenty of beef, chicken, and vegetarian delights to choose from...and they are all delicious..... I tried the clear soup first and it was very good....the steak teriyaki was amazing and so was the pickled ginger. I also had the chicken dumplings and chicken Udon, very good as well....it was all good and very flavorful! The portions are smaller but that's ok with me because they are just enough to give you a hint of what you like...you can order a variety and you can always order more of whatever you want because it's all you can eat. Like I said I'm not a sushi eater....but my wife persuaded me to try some and it wasn't to bad....she absolutely loved everything she tried especially the CoCo roll.... Price wise this place is excellent for the quality and value.....17.99 all you can eat for adults....beverages were extra and there is an upcharge on sashimi.... something like 52.00 with sodas and tip...not to bad for two adults...we both thought we definitely got our moneys worth.
I would definitely recommend this place...great food, great atmosphere, great waitresses...we will come back soon. Again this place has something for everyone, not just the...
Read moreFirst visit: Excellent. Very happy with our food, service, and atmosphere.
Ample parking was available. Hostess sat us immediately after we entered.
Worth every penny. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. Sushi: We ordered two rolls of Unagi (Dragon Roll) and one roll of spicy tuna. Just the right amount of crisp from the seaweed, rice stayed intact, and the spicy tuna had just the right amount of spiciness, whereas the Unagi had just the right amount of Umami. Hibachi: Ordered the steak medium, it came to order and with the blend of the sauces, paired perfectly with my other dishes. Teriyaki: Ordered the steak medium, it also came to order (don’t forget to ask for rice). Delicious. Udon: Beef - Yum. Starters: Garden Salads - Ginger dressing wasn’t overpowering. Great starter to prepare the palate. Soup: Miso - Could have been better. Tasted like it was sitting there for a bit. Dessert: Fried Oreos and Vanilla Ice Cream. We left with happy bellies. Definitely try the fried Oreos for dessert 😉
