Horribly inaccurate website. Be aware, I used the link to their website that is provided here on Google maps. It has all of their menu items but the pricing is MUCH lower than what you pay in the restaurant. Our bill was $59 but should have been $39 according to their outdated website. There are pictures that show their current menu (updated Feb of 2018) but their website has old prices.
The food was okay, service was okay. Nothing special at all. If I was just writing a review without ever having seen their website I'd give it 3.5 stars max. I can't get past it though. I have four kids and while my wife and I do alright financially, we still have to be conscious of what we spend, having six mouths to feed. When I saw how reasonable the prices were online I thought we should give them a shot.
After discovering the price discrepancy, we figured it was too late as we had already ordered our drinks, also my blood sugar was a little low and I needed food. So we ordered and I pulled my phone back out and looked at some of the one star reviews to find that others have been in the same situation and even brought the issue up to management with no resolution. I believe this is bad business and will not be visiting D'Nicio's Parlour again.
I attached two photos. One is a screenshot of a portion of their website, the other is a picture I took of their menu with...
Read moreIf you go for their fabulous ice cream, be sure to include a large appetite. I stopped in yesterday with a friend who used to live around these parts. She didn't know about D'Nicio's. So when she said, "Let's go out for ice cream", I knew where we needed to go.
She was smart and ordered a single scoop sunday. As we were at an ice cream parlor, I had to get something I don't get at home. So I ordered a banana split.
I should have backed up when the waitress asked, "Junior or Regular?"
Of course I said, "I'm a man (in my manliest voice). Pretty sure I can handle a Regular banana split."
Well I think someone should change the name of them sizes. One should be Regular like you'd expect a regular banana split to be. And the other should be called something like "Danger Warning You're about to see the largest banana split that is beyond your comprehension. Good luck! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Banana Split."
Don't get me wrong. The ice cream is great. Just make sure you're ready for a lot of it. You'd think I'd learn. I've been there a good half dozen times. This was just the first time I ordered a banana split.
The atmosphere is nice. The place appears clean. The staff were friendly. And they have the best ice cream in town.

Read moreLovely Place. Such a neat atmosphere and really unique menu. I wish that ice cream places like this were more common.
Food was great and waitress was friendly and kind but seemed very inexperienced. She struggled to answer basic questions about the menu, didn't alert us of some up-charges, and Most Importantly. ....she willingly took our dinner AND ice Cream orders, but didn't warn us that placing an ice cream order with dinner would result in having ice cream delivered before dinner. I was disappointed , as I strategically brought my teens here to enjoy a longer, relaxed dinner with fun ice cream, and here we were RUSHED to either eat our ice cream quickly before dinner got cold OR eat or dinner Quickly before Ice Cream melted. Very Disapointing, though some who read this might think it's a petty complaint. If you have kids you're working hard to connect with daily, you might understand....
Yet, it was certainly still a very enjoyable visit and we will likely return, but we will Know to take more control over our dinner expectations and will wait to order ice cream After we...
