Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Otsego

Why is this place never open, even during the VERY limited days and hours on the sign at the door? You can't even leave a message when you call bc the box is full. Shocker. You could at least have your current hours on a prerecorded message when someone calls. But that would require a mindset this franchise owner clearly doesn't have and probably isn't capable of.

**Update: Just found out this place is literally open 2 days a week. Fridays and Sundays. Fridays 4-8p. Sundays 2:30-6p. How this is even legally allowed to operate like this makes no sense. Coldstone needs to be put on Undercover Bosses, and the CEO needs to visit this franchise location. Because whoever is "running" it should clearly be fired. I'm still not basing this review on an in-store experience...because we haven't been able to have one yet. Also, the "now hiring" sign they have hanging outside is a joke. There has been zero change in their hours in the past month, which makes it difficult to say the least for people to come in and apply. And they clearly aren't hiring people anyways, or they would be able to start being open more than the whopping 7.5 hours that they...

My son and I were just there. We walked right up to the counter to order but we were ignored. There were several young women working behind the front counter. There were no customers at the counter except the two of us. The workers totally ignored us. We waited for several minutes without being acknowledged then we left. I called the store's phone number after we stepped outside and spoke with a young woman who said she was the manager. She seemed surprised when I told her what happened. She apologized. I asked her if she was behind the counter and she wouldn't answer that question. She asked for my first and last name. I gave her my first name and asked why she wanted my name. She said they would send me coupons. I declined the coupons. From now on, I'll take my business somewhere else. I'm very disappointed that the employees looked at us but just turned away. This is what I received from the Otsego, Minnesota Cold stone Creamery. I had the absolute worst service from employees that clearly didn’t care about my experience. They were rude and snarky when I asked for lids since I had to drive four ice creams home. They were making rude comments back and forth to each other about how they disliked each other. They gave me rude looks for asking for a bag to put my four ice creams in. They handed me this ice cream with the lid not even on. I had even asked if the lid was on and they said “no, it won’t fit” and walked away. They then argued with each other about how the one employee filled it up too much instead of helping THE PAYING CUSTOMER with resolving the issue. The employees were asking me how they should ring up MY BIRTHDAY ICE CREAM. Isn’t that their job to know? I chose to spend my time to get my birthday treat at this Cold stone.
