Pad Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Overland Park

Upon my arrival, there was a red flag because my chair had food in it and was dirty and I was trying to remove the chair because I didn’t want to sit in the food chair so she had a problem with helping me remove the chair so I wouldn’t have to sit in the chair with food, but my whole thing is why wasn’t it clean properly ? So I had the worst service and experience from a lady named Jane there horrible I mean not trying to use the R word, but yeah, definitely felt that vibe. The manager came over and tried to comfort and console me which was nice the guy that’s in there he’s really nice too. I don’t know his name, but I didn’t like the first thing that I got which was noodles and shrimp and vegetables. The noodles were hard and gooey or something and just tasted horrible so he recommended something else with shrimp fried rice and so I ate that instead and then when I had that it was better, but I was still getting poor service from Jane so when they noticed that she was treating me a particular type of way, they stop sending her to my table , well at this point I had already made my videos in my post about the whole situation and the whole experience. It only takes one person to mess up the experience. It was my first and last time there I wasn’t asked about chopsticks you know the regular stuff like people have when they go there and even my table setting was different from everybody else so They just make you feel like an outcast or discriminatory type stuff but when you go there, get another waitress besides Jane pad see Eaw just wasn’t...

I am writing to share my experience at your restaurant, Pad Thai, on Saturday, August 31st, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Upon my arrival, the host greeted me and inquired about my seating preference. I opted to sit at the table to the right, near the bar. The host provided me with water, but it had insufficient ice. Despite waiting for an extended period, no server attended to me while they served other tables and fulfilled takeout orders.

Eventually, a server approached my table after 15 minutes, and I requested Thai iced tea and a straw for my water. I also placed my food order, specifying the Red Curry with Chicken and Shrimp, with a mild spice level and a spice tray.

After a considerable wait of approximately another 10 to 15 minutes, the Thai iced tea was brought and served, but I had to request a straw for my water again. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the exceptionally poor service I had received, emphasizing that it was unacceptable.

When the Red Curry arrived, it was medium-spiced instead of mild, which was not as per my request.

Overall, I was deeply disappointed with the service I experienced at Pad Thai on that particular evening. I hope that this feedback will be taken into consideration to improve the customer experience in the future.

Typically I never had issues with Pad Thai but last night was unacceptable.

Writing this review because the customer service at Pad Thai is awesome! The food is always delicious, and I've never had an issue with any of my orders. Last night, however, I received the wrong soup for my takeout order. I picked up my papaya salad & tom yum soup (with tofu) after leaving work, and without checking to make sure my order was correct (which is totally on me), I went straight home. Of course, once home, I noticed that the tom kha soup (with chicken) was in my bag, and not the tom yum I had ordered. I would have totally settled for eating the tom kha soup, if it weren't for the chicken. I called the restaurant, and explained the situation. First off, she apologize for the mix up, and offered to have the tom yum soup ready if I want to come back to the restaurant to get it. I let her know that I was already home, and it would be another 20 minutes drive back to the restaurant. She then said they would refund the cost of the soup, AND offered a free soup on my next order. I would have just been happy with the refund for the soup. Lastly, she again apologized for my ruined dinner plans, and reiterate that my next soup order would be on them. I'm going to eat at Pad Thai a lot more often now because of this experience. GREAT...
