I had not been here for a while. I am still not impressed with service or food. I ordered the volcano chicken pasta, but when it was brought out, there was no chicken on it or in it. I didn’t notice at first, thinking it was mixed into the dish. After a 10-15 second hunt, I realized they forgot to put the chicken in.
Our waiter, who was absent now for about 10 min finally came back by and said, “oh, I thought you just didn’t want it with chicken”. Trying to be polite I responded well yes, it’s a chicken pasta. But instead of taking back the pasta dish, that I had been trying not to eat much of, since I suspected that they would replace the entire dish and bring out a fresh dish with chicken (like the menu states)....instead he beings out a chicken breast uncut (and also dry). So after making my own chicken pasta, mixing it together we finished our meal.
Our waiter came back by and said don’t worry, I won’t charge you for the chicken since I didn’t ask you about it when ordering. By now, I am confused, if the dish is Volcano Pasta with Chicken then by default it should have chicken, not the other way around.
We were also left with empty glasses for about 10-15 min at one point during our meal and if I had seen anyone I would have flagged down any waiter or waitress and asked for a refill. But when he did finally come back, he asks how is everything and do you need anything else? If I have to tell you I need more to drink and you are not aware enough of your guests to see that their glasses are empty, then you need to start paying more attention.
After a mess up with our check as well, we finally left. I was hoping to see a manager as we left just to pass on the happenings of the dining experience, but no one ever came by to check in to see how things were and no one was up front to ask how our meal was, etc....honestly I can’t see how this is rated 4.3 stars, maybe it was an off night or something else, but I don’t think I will ever...
Read moreWe had dinner here on 5/26/15. My wife had the chopped salad, which she enjoyed. I ordered the Volcano Pasta, which was also quite tasty and only moderately spicy. Our server was pleasant and seemed to be on the ball, getting our drink and food orders right. That was the last we saw of her for some time, however. I don't know what she may have been doing in the meantime but the next time we saw her was a good 10 minutes after we had finished eating when she dropped the check off at our table and asked if we wanted boxes for the remaining food. While I am not fond of servers who hover at my elbow for much of the meal, it is nice to have them come back occasionally to see if something is needed.
We had intended to order a dessert, since they are discounted on Tuesdays, and my wife would have enjoyed a coffee. We didn't order either, since the server was evidently done with us (and no, there wasn't a line of customers waiting for a table). Had she simply asked "Would you like anything else?", she would have increased the restaurant's sales revenue and her own tip income for the evening.
It was a small thing, in that there was no unpleasantness on her part or ours. But it points out how important the small things are for businesses. We'll probably be back at some point in the future but we won't be in a...
Read moreWe have eaten here before and I ordered the ribeye steak. We had drinks and a very pleasant Friday evening, thank goodness we got out before the band started playing extremely loud.
We decided to eat there last night (06/27/23), a Wednesday night. We were met and seated quickly, we ordered waters and when the rest of group got there we wanted drinks and seems like our waitress disappeared. When she got there we ordered drinks. A short while later she came back without drinks and wanting to take our food order telling us the bar was backed up. We ordered telling her we wanted the famous chopped salads first. Then she came back with 3 out of 4 drinks ordered. Got the fourth, no salad’s. All the sudden ALL of our food showed up. Including salads. I ordered the ribeye again and the cook was as ordered but the grill marks were actually burnt into the steak. So it had a burnt taste to it. Another member of our party ordered chicken strips which was supposed to come with fries, if was served with slaw. Hardly ever seen our waitress to she if she would make things right.
As a side note when we were seated another couple had to stop someone and ask if someone was going to take their order. They got up and left.
Good grief Charlie Brown this was on a Wednesday night, what happens when...
